Good hotel , friendly staff , the location is ideal for exploring the city ! Housekeeping needs some training as they failed to stock on tea and remove dirty glasses. Found a dirty spoon on the coffee tray too. Small details make a difference but overall it’s a very good hotel.

Great location between the western part of the city and the eastern part all the way to the Music Hall and beyond. The “paralia” (coastline) is Finally, the breakfast is excellent. What I disliked is the fact that to iron is available for use. One has to plan in advance for ironing service which changes exorbitant fees! I recommend travelers to bring their traveling irons. One more thing (but this is generally happening in Greece): The smoking! None smokers cannot enjoy a nice meal or a drink outdoors without inhaling the awful cigarette smoke! Perhaps this excellent hotel can designate non smoking sections outdoors.

I spent the last week of July at Makedonia Palace with my two boys and found the hotel to be generally impressive. Families are clearly considered. The outdoor pool was nice however, the fitness centre could be better (much). Our room was well‑designed and clean, and the staff were friendly and professional. However, the mattress provided for the extra bed was noticeably thin, which detracted from the otherwise comfortable accommodations. The buffet breakfast, while varied, could be improved for a hotel of this calibre. Minor enhancements to food quality and presentation would elevate the overall experience. Despite these issues, the hotel remains recommendable. The staff made our stay pleasant. With some attention to mattress quality and breakfast offerings, Makedonia Palace could fully match its five‑star reputation.
