From Hanstholm it is possible to sail with excursion boats to the Yellow Reef, where the biggest saltwater fish are caught. From the cottage it is about 18 km to the National Park Thy, which is a true paradise for nature lovers and hikers. The Cold Hawaii surf resorts in Nørre Vorupør and Klitmøller are also nearby.
