The property was clean the views were better in person my only requirement was that it was kid friendly however it was so much more my grandchildren ,nieces,& neffs had the best time Appreciate the hosts thank you for everything we will definitely be back

A place to unwind and fish

Good location and accomodation to stay.Tidy and with all you need to sleep, shower, cook, and relax.Great communication with owners.Plenty of beach and places to fish.Good private location and handy to drive into TGA or Whakatāne if needed. Local shops handy. Recommended.

Relaxing spot to stag

We loved staying here, it met all our needs, and had lovely views. The owners were so lovely and took our children under their wings. The communication from Jodie was excellent. Thanks so much for hosting us, when we come down your way we will be in contact to stay again.

Enjoyable stay

Enjoyed our stay at Thornton. You need a car to get out and about as nothing is in walking distance but it is an easy drive to lots of places in the Eastern Bay of Plenty. Hosts were friendly and checked in with us that all was going OK. Steep steps between upstairs and downstairs so not appropriate for the mobility impaired, elderly or very young children.

fun for kids

Extremely helpful and accommodating people. Plenty of activities for young kids outside. Very helpful. Stairs to upstairs rooms quite steep, so consider if you have mobility problems or very young children. Safety gate at top great and block at bottom allowed us to relax. Living area a little smaller than expected, very comfortable but would benefit from an extra chair for 3 adults to relax. Would return again.

Highly recommend owner, communications, location and property

Owners were helping family member move house but still found time to visit us and offer trampoline, outdoor lounging facility etc. We will certainly return, more than once too.
