My wife and I were SO impressed with this B&B!! It’s a beautiful place with two buildings built in the 1880’s. Meticulously cared for and just gorgeous! The hosts had warm cookies available, as well as free water and soft drinks, coffee, etc. for all of the guests. The rooms are preserved with their 1880’s charm, but still have the modern amenities needed to make the stay more comfortable. Really, really, REALLY love this place!!

I would prefer to give this B&B a five star review as the owners were very communicative and pleasant, the room was clean, and the breakfast was delicious. However, there are a few things I would have preferred to know before I booked the place and I will not be staying there again. The atmosphere of the place was such that I became uneasy about the place and checked and it is reportedly haunted, which would definitely have dissuaded me. Furthermore, there were people who showed up asking about a meeting that was to be held the first evening of our stay, and when I looked up what it was, it was a spiritualist meeting during which they held a spirit circle. I would very much have preferred not be be staying there that evening, and while it is a beautiful location with very pleasant owners and staff, I would have preferred if I had seen this warning in another person's review.

Black Swan Stay

The Black Swan is a beautiful, old historical home. The owner greeted us and gladly share the history of the home and offered local restaurants for dinner. The breakfast was lovely- French toast, bacon and a fruit custard. I highly recommend driving to Franklin - check out Vulgar Brewery-great pizza and beer.

The property was old and a little run down, but very charming. There were only two outlets in the room so we had to unplug the lamps in order to charge our devices. The room and en suite bathroom were very spacious. There was a large, inviting tub but it had no plumbing. The bed was very comfortable.

The Expedia website said there was hell yes elevator and everything was on one level. My wife cannot climb stairs well so that is why I chose this facility.When I got there, our room was on 3rd floor a flights of stairs. Had no choice but to take room and assist my wife. Would be nice to get with owner and get facility correct so next customer who has same issue will not be surprised

Our only regret is that we weren't there for longer! It was such a lovely stay and everyone was so kind. We loved the room, breakfast was great, and the location worked out well for us. The property and building are both so cute. Highly recommend.

The property was very well maintained and the attention to detail was excellent. They have kept the look of the era of the home very much intact, like stepping back in time. Even though it is off of a main road it was very peaceful in the morning. The staff were very friendly and attentive to your needs.

Elegant, beautifully decorated Victorian B&B, with friendly host/staff and a great breakfast.Our private bath was just down the hall, other rooms had ensuite bathrooms.Highly recommend this inn if you're passing through the area! Note:The property is slightly set back from a main thoroughfare; the A/C screened out any traffic noise for us.

Beautiful Inn

We were so happy with our stay! Place was beautiful and historical! Staff was so friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the history of the inn. Breakfast was delicious with many homemade fresh components! Will definitely be back!
