The lobby and dining areas are nice and smell so good but the rest of the hotel really needs work. The place as a whole seemed a bit run down. Staff members were friendly and the breakfast buffet was good. Only 2 out of 3 elevators were in operation due to maintenance. The line ups and wait times for the elevators were long. We often took the stairs which lead directly out of the building and had to double back in. The pool walls were cracking and pieces falling into the water. Broken sun chairs. Pool towels were paper thin and small. Indoor pool area and hot tub were shut down. The room balcony was in the same shape as the pool, falling apart. The balcony door couldn’t shut all the way. Not great at night with the sirens and humidity. The AC was so loud and clunky. Beds were comfy but some pillow cases were threadbare or had holes in them.

There was no recognition of my tier status at check-in, no upgrade nothing. The room I received initially had a broken balcony door and the tv was showing someone else's full name. The next room I had same thing, someone else's full name on the screen. This hotel needs to equip its rooms with microwaves, having ONE on the 2nd floor is really unacceptable.

Loved the fact that they had lawn maintenance keeping the property up to expectations, and that they were all friendly. Wished my partner and I good morning without us initiating first. Very welcoming atmosphere.

Our entire floor and room smelled like weed. The hotel prohibits smoking; however, it was clear people were smoking in their rooms. We did not get early check in that was ensured to us over the phone. We called several times prior to checking in and could not reach the hotel. We got charged for parking even tho this was not communicated to us upon check in. Severely disappointed and honestly, would like a refund for our stay.

Tired and not well maintained. I stayed here out of nostalgia having stayed a number of times in the 80s and the 90s. Back then, it was operated by the Seibu group as a part of the “Prince” hotels which proudly served the emerging major Japanese businesses around near by Markham (think Honda). It was the only luxury hotel outside the city and held its unique position in the market for decades. My first visit in 20 years has shown how far it has fallen. It has gone through a couple of new owners, currently owned and managed by PanPacific. Upon arrival, I could not help but notice a lot of rubbish on the ground. Everything from discarded bottles to potato chip bags were evident. Inside wasn’t too much better. In the room were peeling wall paper and broken furniture. The hotel was supposedly renovated in 2019, but one of the three elevators was out of service, resulting in a 15 minute wait to reach the ground floor from the 19th floor where I stayed. Also, a lot of signs outside the main buildings are out of date. It still gives you directions to the Katsura restaurant that entertained a lot of Japanese businessmen is no longer there, for example, and the signs in the parking lot still displays the hotel’s old name: “Toronto Prince.” At least it was not very expensive compared to hotels downtown. That perhaps attracts a different type of clientele who sometimes screamed loudly in the middle of the night, and generally behaved impolitely. It was sad to see what it became.

Worst hotel. They are infested with LARGE flying cockroaches and cancelled our stay as a result. Not only that but their AC doesn't work, it is dirty in the rooms and elevators don't work. Luxury hotel prices for a motel environment. Also manager Anas was awful. Poor manners and gave attitude when given video/picture proof of all these issues. Worst hotel in Toronto.
Cracked tubs and showers. Very dirty.

This property used to be lovely when it was The Prince. Location is good when family is all connecting together in TO but we will choose a different hotel next time. The elevators were under repair 11 months ago still not working. For the high end price paid per room it is definitely not a high end hotel

They never answer the phone when you call, Elevators are extremely slow of often waiting 10+ minutes, Was supposed to be accommodated for early check-in they stated no. And had to switch room Because the room was dirty and this was at 1:30 AM, which was very inconvenient.

The bed was uncomfortable. The AC did not seem to be working effectively. For at least 6 months, only 2 elevators have been in service, resulting in unacceptable wait times for elevators. The room was poorly lit. The lighting was inadequate. There needs to be another mirror over the desk for makeup application. An outlet needs to be available near a mirror in the room. The room was poorly designed.

Check in was smooth. 2 out of the 3 elevators were working and the main elevator seemed to be really slow and started having issues. Went into our room 603 - door needs to manually close (was not a soft close) other wise door needs to be shut and it is loud when door needs to be closed and locked. Found a hand towel that had stains on it. I had requested at the time of my booking to have 2 extra towels in our room, was not there so I had to request it at the front desk again. It was 2 hours after I had requested to recieve them in our room, felt warm i guess they didnt have extra available. Seems like there was a wedding happening while we were there, the wedding guests seem to be scattered everywhere, but the guest next to us (602) were screaming and arguing at 2am, waking me up and kept on yelling for another hour until one of the guest left the room - door slamming again at like 3:30am/4am - needless to say i did not sleep well. Bed was okay, alarm clock with charging ports was on the same side as the headboard that had charging ports and outlet and the other side of the bed has no ports or outlets to charge any devices, there was just a lamp. Food was okay, found it a little over priced but not much of a selection for food. Many of the furnitures were outdated. There was a balcony however you cant go out or open the doors. Overall, i dont think we will be staying here again. Fairly disappointed from what they advertised verses actually seeing it in person.
Stained towel upon walking in our room after check in.

Elevators was a big issue. One night I waited twenty minutes to use the elevator. My room also wasn’t cleaned upon arrival. Also, for the price I paid I would have at least thought they would have cleaned my room the next day and change the sheets…but they didn’t. Not impressed. Pool was also very dirty, a lot of dead bugs inside and around the pool was dirty as well. Again, for the price I paid…not impressed. I also lost my sunglasses.
