pros : Directions to the room are well indicated. Staff are nice and accommodating. I appreciate they let me leave mu stuff earlier because there was no one in my assigned bed. (that's what they said but read the cons). it's clean Having air conditioning is life saving luggage room cons : Someone slept in my assigned bed. I just took another one but I liked it less than my assigned bed (in term of location). Someone got up at 5 am and made noise because he is preparing his stuff to leave but it's normal on a dormitory so I don't take it as a problem. I couldn't find where to take plates in the kitchen. Anyway the cluttery and plates were all next to the washer. I would suggest a system where we can dry the dishes and put it at place. Because we use plates and cluttery that are still wet cause all dishes pile up and keep those dowstaires wet, vicious circle. I enjoyed my stay fir the price !

This hostel is in Kensington Market area, and it's a vibrant, multicultural, youthful area. Lot's of good food places, and interesting sort of touristy and fun stores. The hostel itself is an economical place to stay, with a kitchen you can cook your own food in, and common areas. It was a lively place to stay, with lots of friendly people. I really enjoyed the staff here and also many people from other countries coming and going. I was really taken with my one week stay in Toronto. I found everyone I met to be so helpful and outgoing and kind. People seem good at coexisting. If you are a clean freak, a city is a city with all it's variety, but I didn't see a lot of littering or garbage strewn. There's people living homelessly yet I didn't experience a lot of aggression. I feel grateful to have been in the mix. and thankful to the staff in particular.

Good location for downtown Toronto. Private room was clean, shared showers could have been cleaner but overall okay! Free breakfast was a good, they also had oat milk for coffee/cereal which was appreciated! Hairdryers were available from reception. The hostel is opposite a homeless shelter so lots of people hanging around all day/night, we didn’t necessarily feel unsafe though due to this but did take extra care especially at night. The street itself was very lively during the day and there were bars etc. busy at night.
