If you are looking for a quiet getaway where you can unplug from the stresses of everyday life, this cabin is the perfect setting. 1 full size bed, twin sleep sofa; 1 bath and studio kitchen. 5 miles from Goose Bay arena, adjacent to BLM land for 4-wheeling & 45 minutes to the Capital of Helena.
We loved the rural location very convenient for our stay for nearby a guest ranch event. It is tiny, and a suggestion would be for a wider foldout couch. Also an in the wall A/C unit would be helpful in the summer. It took us a bit to get it cooled down every evening to make sleeping comfortable. Peaceful, quiet, spotless.
The place is clean and tidy. The bedroom/bathroom is COMPACT. It took a little adjustment on getting in and out of bed. There is no A/C and it was pretty warm when we arrived. It cooled down nicely after dark. The area is very peaceful and I enjoyed the sound of wind moving through the trees and the pleasant odor of the trees (Pine, Spruce, Cedar). As a suggestion for the host, it would have been more convenient use of the fridge if the doors opened from the other direction.
Exactly what we needed for a night. Very clean and the owner was easy to communicate with. There is no ac so summer nights can get hot. They did provide two fans for us and we brought another of our own.
If you'd like to escape to peace and quiet with some breathtaking sunsets, then stay here. There are no distractions, just you, the forest, Big Sky, and a place to lay your head. Clean, and tucked away from the noise. It may be a little challenging to find, so follow instructions given, but it's worth it! :)
Son and dad hunting in state land. Good location for for that. Fairly close to Townsend for dinner. Did wish it had a full size coffee pot and a tv for evenings. Besides that it worked perfectly for what they needed!
Thankfully I got an email from the owner with directions because of spotty service Google Maps may or may not be effective. I would have been helpful to also have in that email the house number that is on the rock. I could not access the email and then get the secret code and go back to the email to enter the code on my phone, therefore, couldn't get past the email itself. But we found it with no trouble and enjoyed our stay.
We really enjoyed the cabin! Myself, husband and our 2 year-old traveled to Helena and Canyon Ferry. We were hoping to see the reservoir and lake more but it rained during our stay. Townsend is a small town and has some great little things to do there with a great park for kids. The cabin itself was very cute. It had mostly everything we needed. We brought some things with us to help with cooking and food. It has a nice kitchen with a stove, oven, microwave, and a good size refrigerator.
Beth the owner was very nice. Our toilet got stopped up and she came down to the cabin with a plunger for us. The bathroom and bed is very nice. My husband slept on the twin bed on the couch. My son and I slept in the bedroom. Everything was very clean and the dresser was a nice bonus to put our stuff in with big drawers. We enjoyed being able to look at the stars at night. The patio was very cute and a great little space to eat outdoors. The only downside was not having any kind of table or chairs to sit at inside. There was a coffee table for us all to eat at, but it was more difficult with a toddler.
Overall, we had a great experience. It's a little bit tough finding the cabin. We called Beth and she was super helpful in getting us there. It's a turn down a little steep hill. It definitely is in the middle of trees and has beautiful scenery. It's a bit further from the lake than we expected. The views are beautiful. The sunsets were wonderful! Overall we had a great time!
The cabin is a quiet, secluded getaway with a lake and mountain view. No phone or TV so perfect for disconnecting and just relaxing. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. Even the shower was great with plush towels.
The host went above and beyond to help us find the cabin. BTW, do not trust Google maps. The main issue we had is the parking because we were towing a trailer. I would suggest leaving anything you tow at the parking lot by the highway because it is a steep drive with one way in and out.
The property is tucked back in the trees away from everything. It was quite a bit more modern than expected. The place is super clean and the lake view was spectacular
We absolutely loved staying here. It was exactly what we needed. It was very clean and organized. Owners were great to inform us of anything we needed to know. Would definitely stay here again.
Try his is a perfect, tiny cabin for 2-3 people and a small pet. We came up from about an hour and a half away to stargaze and have a quiet night away from town. We had exactly what we needed, no more and no less. Itâs not far from the lake if we ever want to do that! Thanks again, and we will recommend to our friends!
It was a beautiful little cabin and very quiet. The owners were easy to work with even though we never saw them. The area is great to visit and fish. We wish we could have stayed longer to see the area more!
This location was so cute with a lovely view down the hill and of the mountains. The owners were absolutely SO kind and helpful. We spent a nice evening on the porch with a great view of the stars and wonderfully cool evening weather. Overall amazing stay!
We enjoyed our stay at this cabin. We had a very nice view overlooking Canyon Ferry and Mountains. Our communication with the property was very good and quick. We attended a wedding while in the area and did experience rain and muddy roads returning back.... however we had a 4wheel drive SUV. The cabin was very clean and accommodated a comfortable stay. We brought our Teryx 4wheeler and had some fun exploring Forest Service trails. I could recommend this cabin for 2 people or 3.
