We stayed in Cabin 2, which faces the ornamental garden and the pond, for two nights, and we loved it! The cabin was spotlessly clean and very cozy; the sound of the running water was very soothing. Mark was a thoughtful and attentive host who brought us a bottle of wine and all we needed to get a nice bonfire going so we could enjoy the place as it got dark. It was phenomenally located between the excellent restaurants in Trinidad and Redwood National Park. We had a very relaxing stay!

Lovely woodsy location

This is a very comfortable place to stay- with all amenities as promised. We were warmly greeted on arrival and offered an evening bonfire and bottle of wine! The location is so close to a beautiful coastal park , with trails in woods and on coast and beach . Trinidad town and gorgeous beach just a few minutes by car. Highly recommend this” get away” .

Amazing!

The property was perfect and the setting incredible. The property managers/hosts were so kind and attentive (Thank you Marco)! It is the perfect location. Near beaches, small town of Trinidad, and the Redwoods. We will be back!

Weekend getaway

Weekend getaway gor husband and myself. Wad thinking we were getting the honeymoon cottage, ended up in a different cottage near the caretakers. Not to bad. Very cold when we first arrived. Took awhile to heat the place up, never received our bottle of wine..oh well. Great location near the ocean n forest. Bery relaxing

Solid Little Place

Overall good experience. I feel like this property was probably EPIC when it was first built. There were a number of items that needed attention inside the unit. Bathtub did not drain and really grossed me out, unit was not as clean as I would expected or hoped for, corners in the bathroom all had dirt and hair. Lets be real though I was there for a couple of days to go hiking and it worked out perfectly. Great Location, Peaceful Proerty and yes I would stay again.

Great location to explore the Redwoods.

Beautifully designed cabins and lovely landscaping. Loved the gas fireplace! Bed was very comfortable. We were greeted promptly on arrival and supplied with all important instructions. Our only complaint is that the cabin had not been adequately cleaned - very dirty refrigerator with spills on the shelves, and floors not swept.

Perfect!

The honeymoon cottage was the perfect place to celebrate our 41st Anniversary! It was clean, cozy and well-equipped. The coffee and complimentary bottle of wine were much appreciated. The location was right in the middle of our exploration of the Redwood National and State Parks. Great host! Highly recommended!

Very clean and quiet

Mark the owner was very inviting . He immediately answered all our questions. He pleasantly surprised us with wine and a bottle of sparkling cider . This is a very clean and well built lodge type setting and in the early morning we were treated with a family of deer right outside of our porch. What more can you ask for!

Exhale......lovely cottage tucked in the woods

My husband and I turned a trip to the west coast for a son's wedding into a min-vacation for us as well. Windows open for the cool night air and to listen to the pond's waterfall (right in front of the cottage porch). Complimentary bottle of wine provided by Mark (owner)! Dinner at Larrupin, about 10 min down the road, day trips out to walk among the redwoods and to get elk sightings....what's not to love. Mark has clearly put a lot of love and time into creating this oasis and I'm so glad I found it on VRBO. If we'd had kids in college nearby, this would have absolutely been our destination for graduation weekend. If I knew someone getting married nearby, this would be a sweet place for that kind of venue as well. Thanks Mark for a wonderful 2 night stay! We will be back if we're ever back in this part of the country!

Excellent romantic getaway and beautiful landscape

Thank you to Marke for providing us with the best accommodations in the area. We searched high and low for the best quality and beauty in the area and was lucky enough to find Golden Eagle cottages. We are so thankful for the excellent friendliness of the host and the immaculate cottage. It was stocked and clean and you just can't beat the location!! We will be returning next year for sure! Hopefully for a longer stay.
