Please remember that living in the mountains and staying in a private home means that there are some things we cannot control. For example, weather and harsh conditions have knocked out Wifi and the power before. While these instances are rare, we please ask that you are patient as these are things that we unfortunately cannot control. While we will try to accommodate all requests, we handle refunds for situations like this (power outages, appliances breaking, etc.) on a case by case basis.
Photos donât do this place justice. Great house. Beautiful wood . Very comfortable. Back yard hill is perfect for kids sledding. Will try to stay again in the summer next time.
Cabin was exactly as pictured. Very clean. Check-in/ out was concise and seamless. Great central location close to town. Would absolutely recommend and stay there again.
Our stay at the Hillside Haven for seven nights was very relaxing. It is a house in a quiet neighborhood of Truckee with very easy access to Lake Tahoe and many other areas. The management company was excellent. I liked that the living area was upstairs and that there were pretty views of the forest and mountains and a cross breeze on warm days. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked. It was exactly what we needed at a reasonable price. We were also traveling with mountain bikes, so having a garage was very helpful. Also, there was plenty of cleaning products, paper products and I loved that we could do laundry there. We did not have to run out for any paper or cleaning supplies while we were there, which I really appreciated and have had to do at other rentals. The only comfort suggestion I would make, was if there could be more comfortable seating in the living room and deck. The couch was usually fought over. No one wanted to sit in the antique chair and the deck wooden chairs were hard and uncomfortable, so we didn't sit out there much. Otherwise all was perfect!
We enjoyed our stay. Spacious lot in a quiet neighborhood. House clean, comfortable and well-equipped. Garage for car a plus! Deck with table and chairs was perfect for morning coffee and afternoon drinks, while surrounded by pine trees. Kitchen well stocked with everything needed for meal prep. Close location to excellent hiking, Old Town Truckee, Lake Tahoe area. We definitely plan to be back!
This is a great house in Tahoe, located in close proximity to outdoor recreation, downtown shopping, parks and pools. The house was very comfortable and immaculate, with a beautiful deck overlooking the wooded slope. We enjoyed every moment here.
This was a good house for a ski trip with a few coworkers. All the appliances worked (though we didn't try the stove). The place was clean, and there was lots of parking, though I would guess the driveway could be difficult in icier conditions.
