This stand-alone guesthouse is part of the Tucson Travel Casitas collection—independently owned and personally hosted. I live and work on-site and take pride in offering a calm, welcoming space for travelers who want a quiet retreat in a central location.
WHY GUESTS LOVE A PEACEFUL PLACE CASITA

~ Self check-in for convenience and privacy
Whether you’re here for work or just need a peaceful reset, this casita gives you the freedom to settle in, rest well, and explore Tucson at your own pace.
THE SPACE
This 320sq ft studio has been laid out with comfort and simplicity in mind. As a guest, you’ll enjoy your own private entrance and fenced yard with views of native desert plants and local wildlife.
Inside, you’ll find:
~ A twin-sized bed
~ A mini-split heating and cooling system, allowing you to control your own temperature
~ A Smart TV (no cable) so you can stream your favorite shows
~ Kitchenette with a 2-burner induction cooktop, microwave, full-size fridge and freezer, and drip coffee maker
~ Dishes, cookware, and utensils for preparing basic meals
~ A large walk-in shower with fresh towels and handmade bar soap
~ A closet to hang clothes and keep your belongings organized
~ Blackout curtains for restful sleep, whether you’re on day shifts or night shifts
~ Original paintings by Tucson artist Sybil Williams (my grandmother), adding a personal and creative touch to the space
The layout is open and efficient, with everything you need within reach and nothing unnecessary to clutter your stay.
NEIGHBORHOOD & GETTING AROUND
The casita is located in a quiet, safe, and friendly residential neighborhood just minutes away from Tucson Medical Center.
Nearby:
~ The Loop trail (2 blocks away) for walking, biking, or jogging
~ Tucson Medical Center, St. Joseph’s Hospital, and Banner University Medical Center – Main Campus
~ University of Arizona campus and medical school
~ Sabino Canyon and Rillito River Park
~ Natural food stores, cafes, and local restaurants
Transportation options:
~ Free public transit route within walking distance
~ Dedicated parking spot included—park on the gravel driveway at the front of the property
HOST INTERACTION & SUPPORT
I live in the main house on the property and work from a converted garage space. While I respect your privacy, I’m always available by message if you need help, have a question, or want local recommendations.
I love sharing Tucson’s unique charm—from desert hikes to great restaurants—and have included a local guidebook with my favorite spots in the studio.
WHAT’S INCLUDED
I’ve stocked the casita with essentials to make your stay easy and comfortable:
~ Linens and bedding (including extra blankets and pillows)
~ Towels, hand towels, and washcloths
~ A bar of handmade natural body soap
~ Two rolls of toilet paper
~ Dish soap, sponge, and kitchen towels
~ Dishes, silverware, cooking utensils, and simple cookware
Please note: These items are not replenished during your stay. If you’re staying long-term, you may wish to bring or purchase extra paper goods or specialty items.
PET POLICY
Well-behaved cats and small- to medium-sized dogs are welcome, with a maximum of two pets.
All pets must be house-trained and have no history of aggression or biting. Dogs must remain leashed whenever they are outside the guest’s private fenced area.
Resident indoor-outdoor cats live on the property, so dogs must be comfortable around cats and may not chase, corner, threaten, or behave aggressively toward them.
Pets may not be left unattended if they are likely to bark, become distressed, damage the casita, or disturb the property. Guests are responsible for keeping their pets quiet, safe, and under control at all times.
Guests must promptly pick up and properly dispose of all pet waste.
To help preserve the quiet, peaceful atmosphere of the property, persistent barking, aggressive behavior, repeated disturbances, or failure to follow these pet guidelines may result in the reservation being ended early in accordance with VRBO policies.
Guests are responsible for any pet-related damage, excessive hair, odors, stains, flea treatment, waste cleanup, or extraordinary cleaning required after the stay.
CLIMATE CONTROL
The studio features a ductless mini-split system with remote control. You can heat or cool the space to your preferred comfort level at any time.
OTHER THINGS TO KNOW
~ The studio is ideal for one guest. While some short term guests have been comfortable with two in the casita, it really is best suited for a single guest. Especially on a long term stay.
~ Not suitable for infants or small children (space is not childproofed). Layout note: The casita was originally designed as a pool house, which means the main entry opens into the bathroom—handy for quick showers after time outdoors.
~ For your peace of mind, there are motion-activated exterior security cameras at the driveway, main house entry, and guest casita door. No indoor cameras are present
~ A local cleaning service is available during longer stays upon request
