A Secluded Appalachian Hideaway in the Cherokee National Forest
This fall, come sit a spell on our huge wraparound porch and watch the Cherokee National Forest transform into a sea of brilliant red, orange, and gold. "Perfectly Imperfect" ain't just a name, it's a promise. This here is a handbuilt mountain retreat nestled on sprawling, private wooded acreage designed specifically for folks who’d rather experience real crisp autumn mountain air than overpriced valet parking and a front desk clerk with a funny accent.
There's room to stretch out here. Whether you're hosting a fall family getaway or taking a quiet seasonal retreat, there is plenty of room to gather 'round or find your own quiet corner to take in the foliage.
The Sleeping Spaces and Layout:
Downstairs you will find two big, cozy bedrooms equipped with premium mattresses, soft linens, and comfy pillows to ensure you rest easy. Upstairs features a massive loft space that the young'uns and young at heart will absolutely love. When it is time to unwind after a day of fall trail hiking, the master bath offers a deep, relaxing garden tub perfect for soaking away a long, adventurous day on the river.
Four-Legged Family Welcome:
Bring the dogs along because we don’t just allow pets, we welcome them as part of the family. They will have acres of quiet woods and a crisp mountain creek to safely explore, sniff, and play in the fallen leaves without a care in the world.
Primitive Soul, Modern Comforts:
We might be backwoods, but we aren't backward. We've equipped the cabin with all the modern creature comforts you need to feel pampered during chilly mountain nights. If you need to stay in touch with the world or stream a movie, we have reliable high-speed WiFi, a 55-inch Smart TV, and an Alexa to play your favorite tunes. For individual climate control, two split-system HVAC units serve the main area and each bedroom, supplemented by propane wall heaters and fireplaces to keep you warm and toasty as the temperature drops.
Embrace the Mountain Air:
While the inside is cozy, our outdoor setup is designed to help you fully embrace the autumn landscape with unmatched privacy. Grab a spot on the massive wraparound porch equipped with solar lighting, which is ideal for late-night stargazing or early morning porch-sittin' with a hot cup of coffee amid the fall colors. If you feel like outdoor cooking, you can do it right over the campfire or use our outdoor propane griddle (propane provided).
Two Firepits for Chilly Evenings:
We have two distinct firepits for you to enjoy during autumn nights. Just steps from the front door, you can gather at the front yard firepit, complete with a cooking grate and comfortable Adirondack chairs handmade from local Polk County timber. If you want a more primitive experience, take some folding chairs down or tailgate at the creekside firepit while enjoying the rustle of fall leaves and the rush of Turtletown Creek.
Secluded, But Close to Adventure:
We are tucked away in the quiet woods of Turtletown, Tennessee, but we're just minutes from the best fall outdoor activities in the region. Whitewater outfitters are only 10 to 15 minutes away for Ocoee River adventures, alongside endless leaf-peeping hikes and scenic picnic spots in the Cherokee and Nantahala National Forests. For seasonal festivals, apple orchards, and mountain dining, the charming downtown hubs of Blue Ridge, Georgia, and Murphy, North Carolina, are just 30 minutes away.
Whether you're here to tackle the trails or just sit back and watch the leaves change, your forest hideaway is waitin'.
