Joshua Tree Olive Farm is a working orchard stay on five acres in North Joshua Tree, with more than 1,000 olive trees surrounding a welcoming two-bedroom farmhouse. Wander the rows, share a picnic among the trees, or settle into the hot tub after a day exploring the desert. With rustic character, thoughtful comforts, and room for four, this is a chance to experience a quieter, more agricultural side of Joshua Tree.
The Space:
Built by a French father and son, the farmhouse has an understated character that feels true to its surroundings. Its simple white exterior and carved wooden doorway give way to warm, comfortable interiors with natural wood furnishings, earthy textiles, and black-and-white desert photography. Large glass doors bring in the daylight and connect the living spaces to the outdoors.
Life here naturally extends beyond the house. The olive grove is yours to explore, with rows of trees to wander, a picnic table tucked into the orchard, and plenty of opportunities to spend time together outside. Inside, two bedrooms with their own bathrooms offer a comfortable arrangement for two couples, close friends, or a small family.

-Outdoor Amenities-
The olive orchard is the heart of the property. More than 1,000 trees stretch across five acres, creating an unusual landscape to explore in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Walk between the rows, find your way to the picnic table for lunch among the trees, or spend an afternoon playing bocce ball.
The four-person hot tub sits beneath a wooden pergola, with views down the rows of olive trees. Nearby, the 8-foot cowboy tub offers a refreshing place to cool off during warmer months. Unlike a traditional swimming pool, this is a simple outdoor soaking and cooling tub, drained and unavailable from November through March.
Closer to the farmhouse, a wood-burning fire pit surrounded by outdoor chairs creates a natural gathering place as the evening cools. A propane BBQ makes it easy to prepare a meal outside, while the farmhouse patio offers another spot to sit and enjoy the surroundings.
As this is a working orchard, please be mindful of the irrigation lines when walking among the trees.
-Living Area-
The living room is comfortable and quietly inviting, with a soft olive-toned sectional, a rustic wooden coffee table, textured rugs, and framed black-and-white photographs. Natural light enters through the sliding glass doors, keeping the orchard and desert landscape close even when you're indoors.
It's an easy place to settle in with a book, enjoy a conversation, or spend the evening watching a movie on the 50-inch smart TV with surround sound. A portable Bluetooth speaker, board games, and a dartboard provide a few more ways to pass the time together.
-Kitchen and Dining-
The farmhouse kitchen is thoughtfully stocked for guests who enjoy preparing their own meals. You'll find cookware, utensils, plenty of spices, and olive oil ready to use, whether you're making a quick breakfast or putting together dinner after a day outdoors.
There is no traditional oven, but an extra-large countertop convection oven handles most everyday baking and roasting needs.
Coffee is particularly well covered, with both a Nespresso espresso machine and a French press. Nespresso pods, whole bean coffee, sugar, creamer, and a selection of teas are provided.
For dining, take advantage of the orchard picnic table. A simple meal feels a little different when you're surrounded by olive trees, especially with the changing afternoon light across the farm.
-Bedrooms and Bathrooms-
The farmhouse has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, accommodating up to four guests. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom, giving everyone a little more privacy and flexibility during their stay.
The primary bedroom features a king-size bed and a private ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed and its own ensuite bathroom.
This arrangement works especially well for two couples traveling together, allowing guests to share the living spaces and outdoor experiences while maintaining the comfort of their own bedrooms and bathrooms.
