Guest Access:

You will have access to the entire property! Please note here are two storage sheds that house supplies to the farm that are locked to guests. Also note that this is a working farm - we ask that you do not touch any irrigation lines, hoses or any tools. Make sure to exercise caution when walking among the trees to not disturb any irrigation lines.



The Neighborhood:

Joshua Tree Olive Farm is situated in beautiful North Joshua Tree. This is a remote location that offers complete peace and tranquility. The shops and restaurants of Downtown Joshua Tree are just 20 minutes away should you need anything.

Getting Around:

Please note that the last 3 miles of driving will be on a dirt road. While the road is maintained and all vehicles can drive on the dirt road (4-wheel drive is not necessary), please take it slow as there will be bumps and ruts in the road and to respect our neighbors and not kick up dust.



A personal vehicle is necessary; rideshare apps are not guaranteed in this area.



Please make sure to follow our directions to the farm, as following GPS may take you on roads that are not maintained.



Other Things to Note:

Active Farm:

We love being able to offer Joshua Tree Olive Farm as a completely unique experience to our guests, but please note that this is an active olive farm. Occasionally, the trees do need to be attended to. We schedule farm maintenance between guest stays, but if you are staying for a longer period of time, we will reach out and let you know if any maintenance needs to be done and at what times, so you are aware when a farmhand will be on the farm. Farmhands will never approach the house or disturb your privacy. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us. We thank you for your kind understanding and patience as we maintain our beautiful farm!



Oven:

Please note that our farmhouse does not have a traditional oven. We do have an extra-large countertop convection oven for you to use that can accommodate most cooking needs!



Hot Tub & Cowboy Tub Service:

We have a 4-person hot tub and 8' cowboy tub soaking pool available for guests to use. They serviced every Tuesday between 11am and 4pm, just so you are aware our spa technician will be there to treat it around that time. Please note that these times are estimates and may change slightly due to our technician's busy schedule. He will not approach the house but will go directly through to tubs.



Cowboy Tub Availability:

The cowboy tub is drained and unavailable for guest use during winter months (November - March) to prevent the filter from freezing and breaking.



Dogs:

Joshua Tree Olive Farm welcomes your dogs! Please note that there is a $100 per dog per stay fee, limit of 2 dogs maximum. Please note on your reservation if you are bringing dog(s) and how many, and we will adjust the price accordingly. There is an unauthorized pet fee of $500. Please use the provided dog sheets before allowing your dogs on any furniture. Cats and other pets are not allowed.



Firewood:

We do not provide firewood, so if you’d like to enjoy the outdoor wood-burning fire pit, we recommend picking up a few bundles and fire starters before arriving at the farm. Please do not use lighter fluid.



If you forget, no worries — there's a locked storage container on-site with firewood available for purchase from a third-party vendor. Simply scan the QR code on the container to buy a bundle (8 logs + 1 fire starter) for $25. This is a convenience service we offer at cost — we don’t make a profit — just here in case you need it!

Desert Wildlife & Safety Tips:

The desert landscape is teeming with wildlife and natural beauty, offering a unique connection to nature, but it’s important to be mindful of the creatures and plants that call this area home. Guests may encounter a variety of wildlife during their stay, and while direct encounters with dangerous animals like coyotes, snakes, scorpions, bobcats, mountain lions and other desert dwellers are rare, it is important to be aware of your surroundings and to keep a safe distance from these creatures when spotted. Additionally, the desert is dotted with sharp cacti and other spiky plants. For your safety, always supervise children, pets, ESAs, and service animals while outdoors. Dogs should remain on a leash at all times and be watched closely while outdoors, as they can wander into potentially unsafe situations with wildlife or plants. By booking this property, guests acknowledge the potential for wildlife encounters and assume responsibility for their safety and the safety of their group. By respecting the local environment and staying aware, you can fully enjoy the magic of the desert.



Trash:

The trash cans are located just behind the back wood fence of the carport.



Cleaning Fee:

100% of the cleaning fee goes directly to our hardworking cleaners.



Interaction with Guests:

We give our guests complete privacy, but are available 24/7 should you need us! We live locally here in Joshua Tree and are happy to meet or assist with anything.
