*Private Hot Springs* Yucca House with Granite Tub
Yucca House: This is a unique house with a private hot springs granite soaking tub, wood deck and a totally renovated 1 bedroom house near Joshua Tree National Park.
Come to Wonder Valley Hot Springs, only a 15 minute drive from Joshua Tree National Park for the ultimate peaceful and restorative retreat. This booking is for our Yucca House, a one bedroom house with king bed, large kitchen and living room, and private rock soaking tub fed by our mineral rich hot springs water and deck in the back. Explore the park during the day and soak under the stars at night! Wonder Valley Hot Springs is a 20 acre property with multiple homes, each with their own private stone soaking tub filled with our mineral rich hot springs water.
In this house there is one bedroom with a king bed, as well as a daybed in the living room that could sleep one more person if desired. The house has lots of windows for natural light plus heat & A/C.
The bathroom has a big rain shower with great water pressure.
The kitchen is equipped with pots, pans & utensils for cooking and serving (no microwave, toaster, blender or spices). We recommend bringing groceries as there are only a few restaurants nearby and limited grocery store options in the vicinity.
We have the best wifi available in the area. Please note that our location is fairly remote and this wifi is slower than what is available in most towns and cities. We do have reliable cell service.
We do not have any TVs or cable.
All linens and decor are organic, sustainably sourced and eco-friendly whenever possible and all decor is vegan and cruelty-free, we use no animal products on the property. All of our linens are organic or microfiber, and they get stained easily and bleach destroys them. What we do to be environmentally conscious is we wash them and then tie dye with natural indigo dye. So celebrate the imperfections.
We are pet friendly but do require an additional $40 fee per pet, per night and pets must be disclosed in request to book message. Pets are not allowed on the bed or furniture. Please bring a dog bed or blanket. Pets are not allowed to be left unattended except in a crate. As we are a property where guests come for peace and quiet, we ask that you not bring dogs that will bark.
Because we are entirely off the water grid and all of our water comes from the hot springs, there may be the equivalent of âlow-tideâ for an hour or two when the pressure gets very low before itâs back to normal. This may effect bathroom, shower, kitchen and tubs.
There will always be someone available, either in person or by phone, to answer any questions or assist with concerns while on the property.
We are set in an incredibly peaceful area, about 30 minutes from the town of Joshua Tree outside of 29 Palms.
Driving is required to access local restaurants, stores or Joshua Tree National Park but Uber is available here should you elect not to have a car during your stay.
Beautiful property. Very clean and simple check in/check out process. We loved hiking in Joshua tree all day and coming home to such a relaxing environment. Stargazing from the hot spring was amazing!
We rented the house for one night only as we were passing through the area after a day at Joshua Tree National park, and this was exactly what we were looking for. The house was clean, inviting, secluded and it felt like you were out in the middle of the desert (except you had all the amenities of a house). We really enjoyed our late afternoon / evening simply relaxing with our home cooked dinner, some vino, checking out the stars, having a fire and of course the hot spring tub. We had communicated prior and during our stay with Doug whose communication was clear and within acceptable timeframes. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!
Love this place! It was so peaceful and quiet, just what we were looking for to get away from the city noise. We spent most of our time outside under the stars. It was pretty amazing! I highly recommend!
My family and I absolutely loved our experience during our stay this beautiful and simplistic home! We especially loved the fact that the place is eco friendly.
I especially loved the starlit night skyâs at night! You can actually view the Milky Way with zero light pollution due to the location! I am in the Aerospace industry so this was absolutely breathe taken for me. All while soaking in a hot outdoor rock spring bath with a lit camp fire beside us. The geothermal hot spring water pulls from 100s of feet below the earth to fill your outdoor soak!
There are a few great books in the house written by the owner. I strongly encourage you to check them out. If you live in LA and need to get away from the madness for a bit to rejuvenate your creative juices a bit, I high recommend this location. Itâs grate to veer off of the beaten path from time to time and get away. Embrace the experience simplicity:)
