Old hotel, good location
The hotel is pretty old, amenities are in bad condition. Good location close to main attractions and restaurants though
Small hotel, halfway down Monkey Forest Rd. Set off the road so fairly quiet. Staff lovely. No complaints for the price!

Bring your own soap
This place has a lot going for it. Set in the town, but with beautiful peaceful gardens away from the traffic where you also have a relaxing breakfast. The rooms are good and quite big, showing their age just a bit. Staff courteous and generally friendly. Wifi and TV a bit hit and miss, and they weren't able to get the safe combo changed while I was there. They also don't supply the stuff you get used to elsewhere - complimentary drinking water, tea and coffe making facilities, room slippers and amazingly no hand soap in the bathroom either. When I asked about this I was told to use soap from the shower dispenser. Well if you are a bit movement impaired that is difficult because the shower is above a bath and you have to lean over it and twist past a shower screen to get it.
So these shortcomings may seem trivial, in which case I highly recommend the place otherwise take note.
Overall a generally excellent place let down by lack of attention to detail.
An oasis central to Monkey Forest and yet incredibly quiet. The room was very large with a balcony view over an immaculate Balinese garden. Inside was modernised with air con and bar fridge and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The breakfast was sustaining with lots of choices. Beautiful pool and area. Difficultly finding the place although the driver called hotel and they directed us to wait at Kimia Farma Apotek and met me, directing me down an alleyway. Value for money!
