This spacious, private home features 3 bedrooms and AC throughout. The master suite upstairs has a king bed, daybed, ensuite bathroom, and access to a large living room and patio. Downstairs, two queen bedrooms share a bathroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with new appliances and granite counters. Outside, relax by the pool or in the shaded gazebo, surrounded by nature. Monkeys, birds, and iguanas often visit this peaceful oasis.

We respect your privacy but are available if needed. You can contact us by phone or message during your stay, and we’ll respond promptly. Otherwise, enjoy the peace and privacy of the home at your own pace.



Located in Venado, just south of Playa Junquillal, this quiet area offers nature, privacy, and local charm. Playa Marbella is 15–20 minutes south, and Playa Negra is about 30 minutes north. Enjoy easy access to surf spots, beaches, and local restaurants while being surrounded by wildlife and tranquility.



There is parking on the property a 4x4 car is recommended.

The house is was perfect for us. Lots of space, well equipped kitchen, air conditioning worked well, the pool was a great bonus. We loved the privacy as it is pretty secluded. 7 monkeys visited every afternoon so fun to watch. Close drive to many beaches and restaurants. House is very well stocked and great for families. Great stay, 10/10.

This is a special place. It is nestled in a very quiet, private area. There were howler monkeys in the trees in the backyard. The pool is beautiful and we loved starting and ending our days with a cool swim. The house is quite spacious and comfortable. There were 6 of us, and there was plenty of comfortable space for everyone. We cooked most of our meals in the fully equipped kitchen (grocery shopped in Tamarindo).We spent 2 weeks here, most of our days on the beach at Playa Marbella, about a 20 minute drive south. A beautiful, mellow beach with places to park in the shade. There's a great little bar/restaurant just off the beach (Tiki Hut). In under an hour to the north you have Tamarindo (busy and touristy ... but there is a fantastic local market every Saturday)....and to the south there is Nosara and Samara which are more mellow and charming.The staff at Amapola Vacation Rentals were quick to respond to messages. Good communication. Check in was easy.If you're looking for a quiet, private space surrounded by wildlife and tranquility ... yet easy access to beaches and surrounding amenities, this is the place.

This was our second stay at this property and again it delivered! We love this house, its location away from the hustle and bustle of more touristy locations, and especially loved the pool. For a quiet family getaway, Casa Tranquilla can’t be beat. We will definitely consider staying here again for our next trip to Costa Rica!

Completely what I wanted. Not looking for the next cabo... this place was practically perfect.Fully equipped ( I suggested to manager to get a stick vacuum and microwave) and ready to go.Super happy they had games available like Catan for the evenings.Ac was fine (upgrade ceiling fans would cut down on AC costs) ... very comfortable.Pool is salt water - excellentEven had a collection of DVDs and player for my kid!!Absolutely ZERO complaints... I can always recommend improvements but I was VERY happy with my stay!I would DEFINATELY stay again.Suggestion - need a car and I recommend an SUV. Ask georgina (prop mgr) or go directly to Luis Badilla (georgina recommended him)at economy - he was great... not cheap (insurance in CR is )... but luis made life easier for me.Kudos to prop mgr Georgina, Paulo (grounds keeper) and the cleaning ladies (reasonable price and good work)

Best Pool Ever

The pool was a quiet and joyful sanctuary that seemed to float in the middle of the forest. The house was spacious, the windows large enough to allow massive amounts of welcome sunlight. Can't recommend it enough.

Great Vacation Home

Overall the property was great to stay at. The house was exactly as advertised and was perfect for our needs. The pool was amazing and we used it every chance we could during our week long stay. My only complaints: the air conditioning units in the bedrooms work, but could probably use some maintenance or a replacement. Second, all the markings on the stove were worn off so it was a guessing game on what knob did what. Overall, we would definitely stay at this home again next time we visit Costa Rica.

Perfect!

The house was very spacious and clean with comfortable furniture and everything needed for a fun comfortable stay. The kitchen was fully equipped with plenty of dishes and appliances including a vitamix for tropical daiquiris. There were lots of nice towels, bedding and extra blankets and even a fun floatie for the beautiful pool. There were soaps, coffee and some basic condiments to get us started and we were so grateful we tried to replenish everything we used. There is a lounge area at the end of the pool with two comfy hammocks and the BBQ area had an outdoor sink to clean up as well. Ther grounds are well maintained with a variety of flowering trees and bushes which was food for a local howler monkey family and beautiful hummingbirds. I love this vacation home and would stay here again if we get to come back to Costa Rica without hesitation.

Si vous désirez un endroit paisible pour vous reposer c'est l'endroit idéal. En plein milieu de la jungle. La maison a tout ce qu'il faut, piscine, cuisine complÚte, BBQ, hamacs, internet fonctionnel pour le travail. Vous verrez des singes hurleurs et des oiseaux. Surveiller le matin les oiseaux qui viennent se baigner dans la piscine, trÚs mignonnes. C'est un peu loin par contre si vous voulez visiter les environs, tout est à environ 50 min. Faites des provisions avant d'arriver à la maison. Faites un saut à la plage pas trop loin Playa Blanca, en marée basse vous pourrez y faire du snorkeling, l'eau est la plus claire que j'ai vu au Costa Rica.

Peaceful getaway

Beautiful property in the dry forest and a 20 minute walk down to a lightly-trafficked beach with a very local feel. The house is not near the hustle and bustle of major beaches. It is very private and has a nice pool for cooling off and relaxing.

Wonderful property off the beaten path!

This place was perfect for our group of 7. We used Google Maps and it took us right to the property. The property manager was very responsive and friendly and the house was clean and ready for our visit. It's in a very quiet area with an easy walk to an awesome beach, good for sunsets. We hope to return!

Private jungle getaway

Where do I even start? This property is absolutely gorgeous. The green, the wood...the outdoor shower, totally private pool, and super fun grill. We woke up to howler monkeys and birds every morning and spot iguanas coming munch on fallen fruit while we were lounging at the pool. You take a small dirt road about 20 minutes off the main road so no, this is not super close to restaurants or touristy things, but that is a small price to pay for the total privacy and emersion in the Costa Rican jungle you receive. The host had fabulous recommendations for activities to do in the area. Definitely follow her advice and keep lights off and windows closed when not in use...the bugs at night are no joke.

Many Positives Quiet (aside from howler monkeys and birds)(good bird watching) Off the grid feel Great pool Lots of space in house Many beaches in area. Nice beach to explore a HOT 25 min walk in countryside. (you can drive part way) Not swimmable. Very rough and deserted. Loved it! Local fish market 10 min away. Negatives Much labour required for outdoor bbq (wood or charcoal) Location off a VERY dusty road situation. It had to be taken to all beaches in area. Could use more than one pool lounge chair
