STUDIO WITH DOUBLE BED, SANTI GIOVANNI AND PAOLO AREA
Locazione Turistica - CIR n. 027042-LOC-03996
Description - Nice and comfortable apartment in a strategic area in Venice, close to Rialto bridge and the famous Campo Santi Giovanni e Paolo. It is the perfect home to accommodate couples who want to enjoy the romantic atmosphere of the city. The apartment is located on the ground floor, has a fully equipped kitchen with a bright kitchenette, refrigerator, microwave and everything you need to cook. The master bedroom is spacious, the bathroom has a shower and a welcome kit for the bath. All is furnished with simple and modern style.
Location - The area, even though it is central and therefore close to all the important sites of the city, is not the usual destination of the mass tourism: it still maintains the fascination and the smells of the ancient times, and it can be considered the most exclusive neighbourhood in Venice. Entering the quiet streets that surround the building, you can discover the typical venetian squares with their unique smell, where there are small restaurants managed by venetian families that offer exclusive menus, full of traditions. The apartment is close to the SS Giovanni and Paolo Square, one of the most evocative places in Venice and the ideal starting point to visit Venice, the unique reality in the world where there is no continuity among the places to visit, being the whole city a continuous gathering of art treasures, of breath taking views, of historical and traditional wonders. Walking a few minutes through the streets of the real Venice you can reach St. Markâs Square or the Rialto Bridge, passing by the square Santa Maria Formosa. On the other side, 10 minutes through the popular Sestiere di Castello and you will reach the antique Arsenal of Venice, nowadays one of the most prestigious sites of the Venice Bienalle of arts and architecture. Not far there also are the stops of the public means of transport (the ferries) that create a constant and fast connection with the train station of Venice Santa Lucia and the Marco Polo airport (VCE) or with the isles of the Laguna like Murano with the famous glassworks, Burano and its multicolour houses and the traditional lace, Torcello, where you can admire the basilicas in venetian-Byzantine style.
On certain dates of the year, visitors must pay an access fee of EUR 5-10 per person per day to enter Venice. Those with accommodation in Venice are exempt from paying this. Guests must however request an exemption voucher in advance and present it with an identity document on arrival. To check affected dates, fees and request an exemption, visit cda.ve.it/en/.
The small apartment is photographed very cleverly, but in reality it is very small, especially the bathroom/toilet, which is crammed full of washing machines... But it worked fine. Unfortunately, there was black mold on the sink, not really inviting. The TV in the (tiny) kitchen was mounted in a very original way, it would be good if you could watch it in the bedroom... In itself, the apartment is OK, not least because of the great location, but since the apartment is not exactly cheap, the price should be adjusted.
it flooded and the upstairs property's toilet overflowed and leaked from our ceiling onto our bed. After a lot of pushing, the host finally booked us a place at a hostel:/ Then said he would change the blanket and sheets and only changed the sheet not the blanket that had toilet water on it. I know because I marked the blanket with a washable marker which is so gross that he wouldn't at least wash it. Then he ghosted us when we wanted to discuss further...
