A charming well converted and equipped lighthouse keeper's cottage in a stunning location. with all
Jan , the host had done us proud for our Christmas stay. A very nice Christmas tree was a lovely surprise as was a very generous and comprehensive welcome hamper.
The cottage was beautifully prepared and Jan made herself invariably helpful before and during our stay. Although both other cottages were occupied, the walls are very thick and we were completely unaware of the other guests!
One or two minor but I think constructive suggestions:-
-The outside security lights need servicing and possibly augmenting--loading up our cars in the dark for an early departure was challenging. The light outside to door was U/S and there was a very dark unlit area along the path to the car park.
-The shaver socket in the bathroom (electric toothbrushes etc) only worked when the bathroom light was switched on.
- Glasses (it was Christmas) were in rather short supply. There were 5 or 6 big wine glasses which was fine but nothing else and we found ourselves drinking sherry and port from the egg cups!
-All the audio/video/TV stuff worked fine with the exception of the "ghetto blaster" in the kitchen which could not be persuaded to produce radio 4--maybe there just isn't a signal or I was incompetent!
