Welcome to the Poolside Hideaway Suite, a cozy beach-inspired two-bedroom retreat designed for relaxed group stays and coastal comfort. Located in a newly renovated 1930s heritage home, the suite is fully self-contained, offering privacy and ease while the hosts live quietly upstairs. Thoughtful, lived-in details and soft coastal touches create a warm, inviting atmosphere throughout.



The suite features a fully stocked kitchen with cookware, condiments, and pantry staples—perfect for shared meals after a day by the water—along with hotel-style extras such as towels, toothbrushes, and a large smart TV for laid-back evenings.



Sleeping arrangements comfortably accommodate up to 7 guests, with two queen bedrooms, a sofa bed, and an additional mattress—ideal for families or friend groups looking to stay together near the coast.



Step directly outside to the year-round heated pool, the highlight of your stay. Enjoy a warm soak after cool seaside walks or relaxed poolside time in the sun—this space is designed to be enjoyed in every season.



For convenience, shared laundry is available in the mudroom entryway.



⚠️ A gentle note: As a character-rich heritage home, ceiling heights are approximately 6 feet, and you may occasionally hear natural hardwood floor creaks from above—part of the charm of a well-loved coastal home.

Situated at 3214 Shelbourne Street, our home offers easy access to everything you need while still providing a peaceful retreat. Getting around is simple and stress-free at Melrose Place. A bus stop is just a 3-minute walk from the house, offering direct routes to downtown Victoria, the University of Victoria, and other key destinations. For those who prefer to drive, we offer ample guest parking and are just a 10–15 minute drive from downtown, local beaches, and scenic parks. Hillside Mall, only a few blocks away, makes shopping and dining a breeze, with options like Tim Hortons, McDonald’s, and local favourites like McRae’s close by. The area is also bike-friendly, with designated cycling routes for easy and eco-friendly travel. Whether you're here to explore or simply relax, everything you need is within easy reach.



Other Things to Note:

Some ceilings in the suite are under 6 feet, so you may occasionally hear sound from upstairs. The washer and dryer are located beneath the main patio deck near the entrance to the lower suite, so you might see other guests using them from time to time. Laundry pods and fabric softener are provided for your convenience.



The BBQ is shared — please ensure it’s cleaned and kept dry after use to help prevent rusting. Any food scraps should be disposed of in the drip tray or in the compost bin on the deck.



The pool is self-cleaning, but we kindly ask that you tidy up any excessive mess after use to help keep it enjoyable for everyone.



Interaction with Guests:

Guests will enjoy self-check-in using a secure key code lock and lockbox. The key code will be shared with you before arrival for a smooth, contactless check-in experience. We're just a message away if you need any assistance during your stay.
