BB offers lots of areas to relax in and you can enjoy the sun from the front patio, with a fabulous view of the estuary, and watch boats heading to the very popular Bowentown boat club and ramps, or retreat with your drinks to the covered deck behind the house and listen to the native birds in the surrounding trees.x
A large outdoor area at the back of the BB is available with a full filleting station , the second toilet and a cold outdoor shower to wash the sand away.
It's a perfect space to down a few coldies and discuss the one that got away !
Plenty of space to park your boat and cars

A stunning surf beach , quiet child friendly harbour and an estuary are all a short walk from the BB and you'll find the boogie boards in the basement with bats and balls and other outdoor activities to ensure you have a fun day at the beach or in the backyard.

There are lots of choices for shopping , coffee and dining out in Waihi Beach village and also a short drive will take you to Athenree, where you can relax in the fabulous hot pools, Karangahake Gorge and Waihi for popular walking and riding trails , gold mining tours or a train ride from Waikino to Waihi and back .

Gorgeous 60s batch near the beach with extras thrown in

The batch is beautiful, fitted out in 60s retro style without losing the modern touches we all have become accustomed to. Happy additions were the boogie boards, bicycles, swingball set, extensive dvd collection, toys and books. Walkable to both the estuary and playground and Waihi beach, the location is perfect. 3 minutes drive away was sheltered Anzac Bay which we swam and picniced at also. Our hosts were very welcoming and helpful and I thoroughly recommend this place as a holiday home.

Hands down the best bach we have stayed in. You won't get a better value bach than this. It was super clean, had absolutely everything we needed, owners are very nice. Great location, lots of character and homely feeling. Kids loved it too as there were heaps of things to play with. Highly recommend!

Wonderful Kiwi Bach experience

The photos and the listing do not do this place justice! Wonderfully set up for our family stay with everything we needed plus more (well equiped kitchen, kids books and toys and good supply of towels, linen and blankets) and heaps of character. Loved being able to share a classic kiwi Bach experience with my non kiwi family. Wendy is an amazing host- we had an arrival early hours of the morning due to flights and everything was left ready for us and access instructions clearly communicated with sparkling fairy lights twinkling away on arrival which the kids found super magical. Highly Recommend staying in Bowentown with Wendy. Heaps to do nearby with the beach, Waihi, Athenree hot pools and even Tauranga not far away.
