Tucked away but lives up to its name!

Had an overnight stay this weekend and was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. The staff were friendly and the room was well appointed and clean and quiet. I was particularly happy that the lighting was great in the bathroom and the outer area of the bathroom. Made putting on makeup much better than in some more expensive hotel chains! The only negative is that the signs for the hotel near the road are too small and since the hotel is behind another with bigger signage it's hard to quickly find. All in all a great stay!

This was a great find in the DC area. Great rate, quiet room, super friendly and accommodating staff. We had a wonderful stay with FREE parking, FREE breakfast and minutes from Pentagon and downtown.

Great overnight stay!

Quick overnight stay after seeing DC monuments- excellent location for access to city... hotel is a little dated but staff is both very diverse and professional! Clean as best it could be due to age. Sheets nice and clean, quiet, safe area. We enjoued breakfast very, very much!

It was clean and the staff what nice BUT we had no hot water. Also when you use GPS for this location it doesn’t take you to the property. This property is hidden behind the property GPS takes you too. Grubhub delivered my food to the wrong building because of this.

Pros: Convenient location near popular Washington, DC attractions. The rooms were clean, the beds were comfortable, and there are some restaurants within walking distance. Free breakfast and parking were also appreciated. Cons: The property is tucked behind the Hotel Pentagon, making it a bit challenging to find. At check-in, the front desk staff didn’t provide a thorough overview of the available amenities or give clear directions to areas like the elevator, coffee maker.

This wouldn't have been a bad stay if not for the dirty condition of our room. I've stayed at plenty of budget hotels, so my expectations are reasonable. Disappointing Front Desk Service, but Good Stay Overall My check-in experience was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff member, Tamara, was unprofessional and unwelcoming. When I arrived, she was on her phone and continued to scroll for several minutes even after I politely asked to check in. Her attitude was dismissive and rude both at check-in and again during check-out. On a positive note, the hotel room itself was clean and everything was in working order. Breakfast was good, though the potatoes served were undercooked. Overall, the poor customer service at the front desk significantly impacted my experience.

While hotels are expensive around DC, we expected more for over $200 a night. The hotel needed upgrades, upon arrival, we had to clean hairs from the bathroom floor and there were food crumbs on the carpet. The closet door was not attached correctly and fell off when opened. The breakfast was typical. The restaurant/bar did serve lunch & dinner. Seemed reasonably priced but we just had a beer. Most of the staff were friendly. The big plus for us was location. We bike and were able to hop on the bike trail and visit the monuments and museums. We also biked about a half mile to Shirleton where there were lots of places to eat as well as a movie theatre and grocery store.
