There were numerous issues with our stay. First, after booking I had to visit another site and answer a bunch of questions in order to proceed even after I had already paid. I was told the visit would not be finalized until all the info was given and we agreed with terms. I had no problem with that but it was one request after another even after initial info was given. Then when we arrived the heater was not working and I requested a phone call to discuss with phone number given and i never received one. Instead via text I was told to check numerous things to try to fix it ourselves which after several hours we eventually did. Again with no call back. Their were some cleanliness issues as well which I relayed via text. The place was comfortable but only after I cleaned up a bit and we figured out why the heater was not working.
The house itself truly is nice and updated. The sunroom was amazing and I'm sure the screened in porch would be nice if it wasn't 100 degrees! :) It was a cozy house that had just what we needed.
The walk to the Metro is more like 15-20 minutes and downhill getting there, then uphill after you have been walkling all day all over town. Uber is fairly cheap and probably worth it.
My biggest concern was with Great Dwellings, the rental company. They were not customer friendly and caused me a great amount of frustration, from unprofessionalism to lack of response to my questions. Since this is a "pay the whole amount up front" place, just make sure you have all your ducks in a row before you commit.
The house is super clean and newly renovated. It was very comfortable and is in a great location. The owner made everything easy, including getting us a parking pass at 10:30 pm on a Friday night.
