We had such a great stay at this hotel in DC! From the moment we arrived, Tina made us feel incredibly welcomed. She went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of and gave us all the info we needed about check-out and our stay. The room was super clean, stylish, and had such a cool, modern vibe. The location is amazing too! It's just a short walk from Dupont Circle, with lots of cute restaurants and easy access to the metro. It’s also very close to downtown, which made getting around super convenient. Thanks to Tina and the team for making our trip so enjoyable!

This hostel is a cheap option if you want to stay in DC. The cafe and lobby are nicely designed and a good place to get work done. The shared rooms were nothing to write home about. The place felt tired and in need of an upgrade.

I was nervous seeing some not-great reviews and I was staying here for a business trip, so I really needed things to go smoothly. I had a private king room and the hotel is an excellent value; clean, comfortable, and a spacious room. The decor is quirky and a refreshing change from the "vanilla" vibe of chain hotels. Check-in and check-out were fast and smooth. There was a weekend youth event group staying when I checked in, and I was worried about noise, but even with a room right next to the elevator, things were quiet with a nice atmosphere. The only slight issue I had was that my room's air conditioning was not working well when I checked in. I informed the front desk, they sent a repair technician right away (on a Sunday), it got fixed, and that was the end of it. I was glad that my concerns based on others' poor experiences were not necessary and I had a great stay.

No cup or ice available for water. No coffee maker in room. Had to buy water from store and coffee from coffee bar in hotel which made the stay their more expensive. Staff in coffee bar and restaurant seemed miserable to serve customers.

This was hands down the worst hotel stay I've ever had. First of all, be prepared for a hostel, not a "boutique hotel", the environemnt was grimy and felt low quality. Second, my air conditioning broke on a day when it hit 88 degrees in DC and the only solution they had was a box fan thay did basically nothing. And i wasnt the only ine, i hears theym calling foe multiple rooms to have their AC checked. There was also a group of obnoxious school children staying there running up and down the floors, shouting and slamming doors at all hours of the night. Which could be tolerated if even just closing the doors lightly didn't reverberate down the whole hall. This place is an old falling apart building with some paint and an attempt at some kind of young atmosphere but it fails miserably, don't recommend. . .

Nice room,

Overall, the place and the room were great. The coffee shop in the lobby was excellent. Decor was nice and the room was spacious. Never made it to the restaurant during my 3-day stay but it seems like a good spot. My only complaints concerned the bed and the bathroom. The bed was lumpy (hopefully not every room). The tub is rather small and has a curved floor, which made standing in it uncomfortable at times, and the water pressure coupled with the supplied body wash that doesn't lather led to not feeling clean after a day of city exploration. Soap is an easy fix (there's a Walgreens just down the street) but nothing can be done about the poor water pressure. Perhaps not a deal breaker for a single night stay, but for multiple days it might get annoying. Otherwise I enjoyed my time there.

My first night and interaction with staff was good. On the second night I was awoken at 2am by the person staying in the bunk below me. She was screaming loudly. I went to the front desk and asked to be moved to another room. He refused to move me unless I payed for another room (even though it was 2 am and any bed that wasn't purchased already would be remaining empty for that night). Finally he said he would give me a discount. During this time a mouse ran across the floor. He still would only give me a discount, so I left and went to a different hotel. All at 2am.

We were able to stay comfortably, and appreciate the friendly attitude of the staff. Just for information, as of April 30, 2025, this property does not have a shared microwave. There are no hairdryers in the rooms, but you can borrow them at the front desk anytime (24/7).

I liked the location, although parking was challenging and expensive. I liked my room, although there were odd quirks, such as no drinking glasses or ironing board in the room. The rooms nearby were noisy late into the night. But I really liked the staff. I would stay there again if I didn’t have a car with me.
