As a previous customer i always loved the location, the breakfast and the attention each day. However the cable output had several channels with no signals, at a weekend with an NBA game that was important. The water pressure had to be adjusted at the bathroom sink. With no instructions for the microwave or the tv in the room , i had to ask for help. The bath towels were a little tattered. The employees were always helpful however.

The hotel is in a great location. The breakfast was above average but the building needs some upgrades and the elevator was pretty scary (it bumped around a lot and was extremely slow).

Convenient and Comfy

The front desk workers are long-time employees and very customer-centric. They make everything about the stay a breeze. King room is comfy and spacious.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. The only thing that I did not like was that I stayed there for five days and no one cleaned the room. It would’ve been nice to have the garbage emptied and fresh towels.

Baby’s 1st Christmas

Our overall experience was great and everyone was very friendly, but only one elevator was working and we had to wait a long time for it. Also, there was no fan in the bathroom and no window in the room to open for ventilation.

Quiet room and comfortable bed. One issue is the parking garage fits compact to small vehicles. I had a pickup truck and the turning radius to access the lower parking area was much too narrow for a truck or larger vehicle to descend.

The staff was very welcoming and polite upon arrival and gave detailed instructions for parking, although in the dark and no light for the sign it was hard to see. There was only 1 "working" elevator out of the 2, the wait time is about 6 minutes give or take. The elevator was also very well used and needs servicing, the L button was not propperly working, the elevator also made horrible grinding noises and would shake violently when arriving to the 6th floor. Once getting into the room we found out the lights flickered, there was an airfilter/dehumidifier for some reason, and the bathroom had no ventilation and the tub wouldnt properly drain leaving a puddle of water. Staff was amazing and very accommodating to a disabled veteran. Id say the staff, and metro would be the only reason to stay here.

Older hotel but havconvenient and a friendly staff

I stayed here three nights visiting with my son, who is in the states from Spain. We checked in on a Thursday evening. The first night our room was horrible. It smelled like mold and mildew. I took a shower before bed and there was a leak somewhere in the bathtub that leaked into the carpet into the bedroom beside the bed. There was a lot of water to where it was squishy when you walked. I called the front desk and they did not have another room they could us in. we were exhausted and stayed but could feel the respiratory effects the next morning. We took our bags downstairs and had them store them while they cleaned another room after someone else checked out for us to stay in for the rest of the weekend. The second room did not have the same issues. I have to say the staff was very friendly and accommodating. My room the first night and comped my parking for the whole weekend. As for the hotel itself, it seemed clean. The morning breakfast is pretty basic, but it was good and it’s free so that’s a plus. Overall it’s a good place to stay. The pricing is reasonable. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. There is a trolley that stops right in front of the hotel that is free and goes up and down King Street every 15 minutes, so you can visit the shops, restaurants, etc. Also, it’s about a two block walk to the metro station, which is also very convenient. We took the metro into DC and did not have to worry about driving or parking. I would stay again in the future.
