Communication with host was great! Promptly responsive to our questions! Beds were comfortable and nice neighborhood. Little traffic and conveniently located, close to the sites but far enough away too!
Beautiful home with a huge master bedroom and walk-in shower for two. The home was very clean. The sectional sofa in the living room is very comfortable and we like that multiple places in the home had big screen TVs.
The whole place a was very clean. The property was as it was pictured. The host was very responsive. The closest metro was about a 15 minute walk. The only complaint I have was the kitchen wasnât very equipped. My group cooked one evening and there wasnât a colander and we ran out of trash bags too. The host did bring more trash bags the next day and tried to make it right. I would just ensure that the kitchen is more stocked. Overall a pleasant experience!
Family of nine meeting up in DC to attend Commanders/Eagles game. The property met our overall needs and was clean, but required a little more attention/TLC from the owners as the property managers donât appear to be relaying info or keeping up with the needs of the home. The property shows well from VRBO, but needs attention to the following items:There are five beds advertised in the listing, but only four in the home. The downstairs bed is laying on a bent boxspring which makes the mattress unsupported and uncomfortable- my elderly mother had to leave early due to the conditions of this bed- when I contacted the owner they stated no- one had ever complained about it and could we provide additional details. In addition, the seal on one toilet was shot, causing toilet water to leak up from the floor tile- it appeared to be like that for some time as the grout was missing around the tile. We wiped it up for two days. There was also a lack of heat in the master bedroom. We were so cold- there was no way to regulate the heat in this room without causing the main portion of the house to be hot. Last and most importantly, there is a rail missing to go downstairs- actual hole in floor- we had to put a tote along side the stair so no one would miss their footing and accidentally fall down the stairs- this is a true safety issueI have never left a poor review, but this house has some major issues.
The place is clean, comfortable and conveniently located. Tastefully decorated and surprisingly spacious. The host communicated proactively and also responded promptly. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to friends and family.
We had a short trip at d/c and stayed here. The host was wonderful, easy to communicate with prompt responses. The house is as the listings describes in a quite neighborhood.
We will hopefully visit again.
Pros:
Close to Metro
Clean
4 bedrooms
Decent wifi
3 nice bathrooms
Parking easy
Central heat & air
Responsive host
Cons:
1. Listing clearly states that there are 3 queen, 1 full, and 1 twin beds. There is no twin. There were only 4 beds. This was a big deal for us because we had 5 adults who did not want to share beds, which is a huge reason we picked this place! When I inquired, I was told there was a blow-up mattress available. I had to hunt it down because it wasn't where the host said it would be. Ditto the bedding. I inflated it and made the bed only to have it lose air overnight. Fortunately, there was a second air mattress which did hold air for the rest of our nights, but it was extremely annoying to have to go through all that a second time. This was completely unacceptable as we would not have rented the place if we had known it didn't really have 5 beds. If you only need 4 beds, then go for it.
2. Lots of coffee, but...no coffee maker! Just a temperamental Keurig machine.
3. I didn't check out all the bedrooms, but the one I stayed in had two brand new lamps on the nightstands...but they were useless. One of them could not be plugged in without an extension cord (there wasn't one), and the only available outlet anyway doesn't work, so neither lamp could be used! I literally had to use my phone flashlight to get back to the bed after turning out the light across the room.
