How close is Metro-Connected Clarendon Stay to downtown Arlington?
We enjoyed staying here. The concierge was always friendly and helpful. The location was excellent as it was convenient to the metro, shops, and most importantly, close to our son who we were visiting.
Excellent communication from host, Margarita. Great location with quick access to Clarendon line. Felt very safe walking around at night. Great free coffee in lobby from 6-9 every morning. Wonderful kitchen, well stocked. Nice people and 24 hour front desk person. As stated in the description, no washcloth so I brought my own. No soap for washing handsâŠ.so used the provided body wash. Would stay again.
Close to everything!! Metro, buses, bars, restaurants, shops, CVS and groceries. Honest we stayed for a whole week and never used a car, it was the perfect location. The apartment was stunning and clean with beautiful views we could not ask for anything more. A truly a great experience. Furthermore, the host was very responsive to all my questions and communication was amazing. Would stay here again!!!!
The listing is misleading and inaccurate. Manuel says parking is provided but when we checked in we found out that was not true. Thank goodness for The Earl concierge Mary who called Whost. The property owner Manuel needs to update his listing so it is honest. There were no potholders for cooking, no kitchen towel, the master bath toilet seat doesnât seem stable, no cleaning supplies to wipe down countertops or the sink and the paper towels were the absolute cheapest so you had to use more. There were no instructions until I asked for them of what we needed to do before leaving. The second bedroom only had one hand towel. There were zero wash cloths. Zero live tv in the living room (all prerecorded). Again this is the owner of the unit being so stingy that despite the very expensive cost of staying there and the unexpected additional parking expense (the listing never said that) he is barely providing the basics for staying there. The 2nd bedroom doesnât have a tv either. Again, The Earl concierge Mary saved the day and because of her our stay was better. For the price I would not stay in this particular unit again but I would stay at The Earl if a different person (not Manuel) rented a unit out
This unit was perfect for our family of 4 during a spring break trip to visit our nationâs capital. It was comfortable, roomy, modern, and clean. The building itself was very modern with access to the rooftop and pool (not open for our stay). The residents we encountered were all friendly, including their dogs, and it was a quiet building with the exception of the outside trash pickup early in the morning. The convenient access to the Metro (Clarendon station, an orange/silver line stop with access to the National Mall without a transfer) as well as a Trader Joeâs & Whole Foods within walking distance were exactly what we wanted to avoid driving. The garage parking was easy, even with a full size truck. We would stay here again if we visit Arlington again.Small areas for improvement:* The unit host was very easy to reach, but it was a separate company (not an individual), which was stated in the listing. Payment and ID verification was done through that company rather than VRBO. I chose VRBO for a reason though and would rather just deal with their payment system. This includes pre-arranging/paying for the covered parking; you cannot arrange for the overnight parking at the front desk. Communications were all done through VRBO, I just would prefer that payment were managed that way too.* Minimal linens provided, no kitchen dish towels. Other than that, amenities were sufficient and as described.* The water pressure was very low in the shower and sinks.
Great apartment in a secure, safe, clean apartment building. Located in the heart of Arlington near restaurants and shopping. Quick Metro ride into DC.
The apartment was well equipped with all the necessary items. Highly reccomend.
The apartment is cute, but was not that clean. The floors were dirty, there was hair in the bed, there was a cooking debris stain on the stove, and the toilet in the guest was clogged upon arrival on a Sunday. This is after we tried for over an hour to get into the apartment. After asking the host about 4ish times, the toilet was finally fixed after two days in the apartment. While seemingly minor things, when you are traveling, you just want clean accommodations and an ability to communicate with a host thatâs responsive - this listing does not have that. The apartment amenities are wonderful as well as the management staff - the gym is great, parking is great for a daily fee of $20, the pool is cold but the rooftops are a bit windy..the host in one of many messages said a concession would be given for the toilet. And the checkin instructions say a welcome package would be given. That didnât happen.
There was one tiny roll of paper towels and two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom given. After having to take time out of our trip to remedy the hazard of the toilet we didnât bother asking the host for more. Just plan accordingly - our trip was from Sunday to Saturday.
