We enjoyed our stay at the property. Didn't receive any communication from the host but wasn't totally necessary. Would recommend to others to stay here.
We had a great time with our family here. They house had a great stock of every kitchen item you could need and plenty of other household items for you to use. Beautiful views of the lake! I want to warn future house guest. The loft is steep and is not great for older people or young kids. Attached is a picture of my 6'4" husband standing next to the ladder for the loft for reference. Also communication with the host is not great. Took several days to get a response the first time I reached out and didn't resopond to another question I had. Great house for a family get together and we all had a blast!
A group of friends stayed for a long weekend and really enjoyed the house. We were especially impressed with how stocked the kitchen was with usable kitchen supplies.
The cabin was great! The kitchen and bathrooms were well stocked with dinnerware, utensils, toiletries, etc. This was the best stocked rental I have ever stayed at. There were actually 6 beds instead of 4 which was a pleasant surprise although there were bunks and then 2 others were in a loft area. Some updated pictures of the cabin to include this would be helpful. The outdoor area was great for a fire and a few games with a pretty view of the lake. There was not a lot of communication from the property manager but we had no concerns with this as everything was ready for us.
Plenty of fish were caught from the dock, coffee and snacks were enjoyed on the spacious deck overlooking the lake, games and our sit-down Saturday night dinner at the kitchen table - all contributed to time together for our busy family. Kitchen supplies/organization fantastic. Only issue was bunk beds and loft in the same room. Access to upper beds didnât work for our ages, mobilities, so two of us slept in living room, but it was a small detraction from our long, relaxing weekend together.
We originally booked this expecting 6 adults and 4 children/teenagers. We wound up with 4 adults and 2 children.
there were only 2 bedrooms for adults so I do not know where we would have put the other adult couple.
This house has many different levels that require going up steps between areas.
The entry stairs and the stairs to the basement where the laundry is are varying heights so be careful as you go up and down because you never know what height the next step is.
2 of the children beds are up a ladder in a loft.
This is a true vrbo with owner items in most closets and drawers.
Never could get the Direct TV to work. Kept getting message for software update requiring the original remote control which was nowhere to be found. Host said it worked fine the prior week.
The whole town had been flooded a few weeks earlier but this property sits on a high point so was not damaged.
Only boat for rent on the lake was a pontoon with a hard top so could not get under bridges to reach the connecting lake. Lots of algae and seaweed in the lake and in front of the dock.
Our first stay at a MN lake house so may have had higher expectations than were reasonable.
We had our annual extended family get away here vs staying in northern MN or Wisc. We all enjoyed how close it was to our actual homes (MPLS and St Paul) and were impressed with all the amenities, like towels, soap, toilet paper. Past experience weâve had properties that only leave you one roll of toilet paper (example). The fire pit was wonderful and the host responsive when we had a request. We would definitely come back again!
The stay was good and was nice being right on the lake. We stayed at a time when Waterville area had historic rainfall and water levels did wash out a lot of people's basements/yards. Not much people could really do about it.
There could also have been more on the check in process than what was originally sent out.
Overall it is a great location and nice house to have a family retreat at.
Had a wonderful stay. The house amd lake are beatiful. The only downfall, the fourth bedroom was not listed as a loft and it was a bit of a surprise for 7 almost 60 yrold women
We had an excellent time staying at this property for the weekend with family. Host was very accomodating and the kids had a blast catching fish from the dock.
We stayed at the lake house with family for a few days and found the house, lake and neighborhood very enjoyable. We really appreciated the property manager getting the propane tank for the gas grill refilled so we could do some outdoor cooking. The house is comfy, spacious and very well equipped. Our dog loved the fenced in yard. The fisherman and women in our group enjoyed catching a few largemouth bass on the dock. I didnât want to leave!
This was a great place to stay. It was clean and nice. Plenty of room inside and outside and plenty of hot water for our large group! Beautiful view over the lake!
