Whitetail Ridge Log Cabin w/ Hot Tub Jacuzzi

Whitetail Ridge is a charming 3 bed/2 bath cabin with an Outdoor Hot Tub Jacuzzi, Wood Burning Fireplace/Stove & Swimming Pond. The cabin is located on a ridge bordering thousands of acres of the Yellow River Forest on the NorthWestern edge. It is layed out with 2 bedrooms upstairs with a Queen Bed in one room and a Twin Bed in the other
 each part a loft overlooking main floor, a Queen pullout Hide-A-Bed sofa on the Main Floor, plus a bedroom with King Bed, living area and 2nd bathroom in the lower level and finally a steamy hot tub outside, just off the side deck. Whitetail Ridge is equipped with WiFi, cable TV, fully stocked kitchen with new appliances
.stove/oven, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, dishes, pots/pans, Central Heat & Air Conditioning. Sit out on the deck with outdoor table and chairs and cook using barbecue gas grill. Feel free to hike the miles of trails in the Yellow River Forest surrounding the cabin. In the evenings enjoy a fire outside around the firepit.

The inside was clean, not all things inside were there, so pack as a unsupplied cabin. We spent a lot of time outside on the porch or in the hot tub. The other cabin's are 50 yards away with no trees in between. Other than that the price was reasonable.

Wonderful Weekend Stay

We recently had a weekend getaway to this location. The property manager was very precise with our expectations and everything was as Advertised. The rustic feel was amazing. We spent much of our time in the hot tub, as it was winter with snow on the ground. We were just about 30 minutes away from Priarie Du Chein and Harper's Ferry and went to the winery. We spent most of our time in the comfy cabin most of the time. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. This location has 3 beds (2 queens in the loft and 1 in the basement). We stayed in the basement bedroom and the basement itself has a living room and dedicated bathroom. The bed was amazingly soft. My wife did not want to get out of bed. I give this a 5 out of 5 and will be coming back this summer to take advantage of the pond. Thank you for the hospitality!

Peaceful retreat

Peaceful Getaway

We were looking for a quiet place to escape the chaos of daily life. Whitetail Ridge gave us exactly what we were looking for. If you like hiking, there are many trails in the state parks all within 30 minutes of the cabin. Cabin itself was comfortable and we really enjoyed the wood burning stove and outdoor hot tub. Cory was easy to work with and check in/out was convenient. Great place to stay!

Nice cabin but horrible invasion of asian beetles. Extreme. They were in our food, in the beds, on the walls, literally everywhere. And that was after i spent an hour each day vacuuming. Host was nice enough to bring a vacuum for me to use and did send an exterminator but it was our last day and didnt help us much. anextermint

Get Away and star Gazing

We just got away from the city and enjoyed our stay at the cabin. We enjoyed star gazing and cabin was secluded with it still being close to town. Great family time and relaxing.

Sister weekend

The property is a beautiful spot to get away. It’s easy to relax with the hot tub and quiet surroundings. It was difficult to contact the manager. No response until after we checked out. The cabin could of used a quick sweep to remove several dead bees. Overall a good weekend away but being able to contact someone would of improved our stay to address the little things.

Adult getaway

Before arriving host stated there were alot of flies on property and when arriving we noticed the inside was full of flies but trap was set up. When arriving and looking around it was beautiful inside and outside. Couches could be upgraded as they were pretty uncomfortable. The was building going on next door that did not make us feel as closed in and private as we thought. Overall it was a great experience and we enjoyed our stay if we ever chhose that area again we would go back.

Spacious Country Cabin

My family of four, two adults and two elementary age children, loved staying at this cabin! The pond was definitely the highlight, and the kids played in it constantly, but we did hop into the hot tub when the nights got cool. Stargazing out here is incredible, and we enjoyed the peace and quiet of being out in the country. A few things if you are considering this property, it isn’t completely remote - it’s definitely far out off of a gravel road and it’s a beautiful drive - but there are a handful of rental cabins near to each other. Second, this isn’t like glamping or a luxury cabin, we swam with tadpoles and the cabin floors can be creaky, that kind of thing. Not quite rustic, but don’t expect a resort. Finally, you’ll want to prepare like you’re camping - food, towels, sheets, firewood etc. There’s cookware and silverware but the nearest restaurants are a bit of a jog so plan on grilling and cooking and you’ll be happy and cozy!! Host was responsive and got us a new propane tank when it was out! Definitely will be recommending this stay.
