The cottage was a gem - excellently located and a delightful rural retreat. More or less everything we needed was provided. A couple of drawbacks, however: the owners' need for privacy borders on obsession, with one bedroom window frosted over and sealed shut (making a dark bedroom even darker), and the double doors also closed off, with a standoffish notice guaranteed to make visitors feel like intruders. Also, advertising a welcome pack on the website and providing a bottle of cider and a small jug of milk seems like a bit of a joke on visitors. Still, on the whole, great value for money and we wouldn't hesitate to book this cottage again.
Property was lovely, clean and pleasantly decorated. Mildly lacking in little things like a little welcome pack or toiletries. That said we coped. Property would benefit from a heavy curtain over the entry door to help with heat/draughts in wintery months
