We really wished we could have used the fireplace. Walls are thin, as we had very noisy neighbors both nights in the condo below us.. If we had stayed at a hotel, we would have complained to the front desk. When we arrived, the smoke alarms were beeping.

Pretty Good, but needs some management policy changes

Positive attributes 1. Nicely decorated and clean. 2. Functional kitchen 3. Thoughtful provision of many spices 4. Washer with HE soap supplied 5. Comfortable beds. 6. The linens were very good quality overall, 7. We received a text that informed us that we were allowed free early check-in (which we could not take advantage of) Issues (this is a newly offered rental, so it is not surprising that a few things require attention/changes. 1. Front door sticks when trying to close, but closes when forced.(needs attention) 2. A 10-digit code is required for access through the front door. We made several attempts as the lock timed out a few times so it took about 5 minutes before we could get in. Recommend a shorter access code (4-6 digits) 3. The standard checkout time for most lodging is 11 AM, but the checkout time for this rental is 10 AM. It was interesting that we were offered late checkout for a price. We did not take them up on this offer, but there was a person who drove up at 9:50, sat in the car, watched as we finished packing the car and left when we left at 9:55 (i.e., this did not appear to be the cleaner
just someone checking to see if we were out by 10). We strongly recommend that the owner change 4. The king bed had a sheet and heavy comforter so you have a choice to be either very hot or cold. During the non-Winter seasons it would be good for the owner to provide a less warm alternative bed cover.

Good location and quiet and


This property is run by vacasa and not a private owner. No shade on the owner choosing to do this, but I would not have booked it if I had known this because I’ve not had good experiences with them in prior rentals. When you send a message in VRBO, every time you send something you get a response from a different person, even if it’s about the same thread of questions you just wrote in there. They are not local and don’t know the space. For instance, there is one specific parking spot for the condo, but the property does have some guest parking spots nearby. Vacasa doesn’t know that and the amount of back and forth about this was ridiculous. However, we did report the strong and unpleasant mildew smell to them and they were quick to respond and offered to have local staff come and check it out. They were pleasant and kind and tried to make it better. It was better, but still noticeable so I would confirm that’s taken care of prior to renting this property. Thankfully it was good weather and we opened all the windows. The living and dining room furniture is cute but not comfortable and if you’re any taller than 5’7” you’ll be hard pressed to find anywhere comfortable to sit. The beds were super comfy! Having two bathrooms is always a plus!

Nice condo but in the boonies. Good if you’re a golfer. Nothing nearby to see or do. The condo needs dressers in the bedrooms. Nowhere to put underclothes and other personal things.

Welches BEST!

This unit is beautifully appointed, has a great kitchen, is comfortable, warm, has a lovely golf course view and is wildly affordable. I don’t know why anyone would pay the outrageous prices for a Government Camp unit when this is only 12 miles down the mountain. We’re an older couple so we appreciated the quiet and lack of youthful crowds. We’ll be back, for sure.

Lovely and Quiet!

Very nice access to Mt Hood hiking trails. Layout and furnishings of condo are perfect! Love all the large windows for natural light. Noticed; front screen door only closes when door is open, front door gasket on top left is missing are coming off, dishwasher door latch does not align with fixed latching ring, toilets had rings around bowl.

Nice updated condo

Visited off season so there was not a lot of activity. A few golfers on the course which is kept up nicely. This particular condo was updated, comfortable and clean with a nice view of the course and mountain side beside it. However the remaining part of the resort out side of the area in which we stayed was pretty much deserted and in need of much care.
