This beautiful and tastefully decorated cabin has 2 queen size bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. Perfect for a romantic getaway or a small family. There's no doubt that you'll enjoy the breathtaking long range views from the deck and hot tub. Plus you can stay connected with the outside world with free wireless internet! Sorry but this cabin is NOT pet friendly and NO smoking allowed inside our cabin.

After a long day of hiking, shopping, sightseeing, or skiing you can come back and soak and relax in our amazing 5-6 person hot tub. Plus we have rocking chairs to rock your cares away while enjoying the vistas of the Blue Ridge Mountains. OR you can enjoy a friendly game of Bumper Pool! With Ultra High Speed Internet, you won't have any issues with our Wi-Fi for streaming movies or surfing the web. Plus, we have unlimited long distance continental calling anywhere in the USA.

Once inside you can sit back, put your feet up in the reclining couch or recliner and watch a little TV on our 40" flat screen TV with our ROKU streaming stick. OR you can turn the TV off, play a little music, and turn on the flames of the gas burning fire place. You think to yourself, "this is the life". You'll want to come back time after time to Buckin' Crazy!!

You'll just love preparing your meals in this kitchen!! The incredible kitchen boasts granite counter tops, state of the art high end appliances. There is dining table with seating for four plus 2 extra bar stools at the kitchen counter.

Don't forget about our fire pit located in the back yard. Everyone loves sitting around a fire pit roasting marshmallows and telling stories. This is a marvelous way to create memories that will last a lifetime!! So what are you waiting for?

The town of West Jefferson is about 3 miles from Buckin' Crazy and has all paved access. You will have easy access to all the amenities that Ashe County has to offer like Mt. Jefferson State Park, Zaloo's Canoes, New River State Park, The Blue Ridge Parkway, shopping downtown West Jefferson, and more. Boone is located within a 30-35 minute drive and from there, skiing is about another 10-25 minutes further.

Enjoy a round of golf which is just 10 minutes away at Mountain Aire Golf. For more information about the great town of West Jefferson and Ashe County please visit the Ashe County Chamber of Commerce.

There is a 2 night minimum for off peak seasons.
3 night minimum for holidays and the entire month of October.
4 night minimum for the Thanksgiving holiday
7 night minimum for the July 4th and Christmas/New Year holidays.

Important Notes:
***The cabin is access by state maintained paved roads. However, it may be necessary to have 4X4 vehicles with tire chains during the winter months.
***The owners use outdoor surveillance cameras to ensure that their home remains safe. No cameras monitor the inside rooms of the home.
***. Cell phone coverage is not guaranteed. There is a home for with free long distance and incoming calls. The home does have WIFI so you may be able to call using WIFI calling.
***No Smoking inside the cabin
***Minimum age requirement is 25 years old

As you plan your trip to the mountains, please remember we do get rain, snow and some foggy days and occasional inconveniences which are out of our control. Winter weather in the Blue Ridge Mountains can occur from November through April. The majority of our homes are accessed by mountain roads, which will be icy in winter weather. For the safety of you and your party, please be prepared to drive in snow and ice. This means 4-wheel drive, good tires, and chains. It is your responsibility to be prepared for hazardous road conditions.

Much needed getaway

We've stayed at this location a few times and it never disappoints. The location is perfect, the views are nice and the house is great! Very clean and well stocked with everything you need. The gas logs made it extra cozy for nights in. We will definitely be returning!

Great Escape!

We agreed that this was the best cabin we have ever rented in the Ashe County area. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, tucked away but not isolated from the world. It's close enough to wander into West Jefferson for drinks, dinner or entertainment, or to make a grocery run. If you are in town on the 2nd Friday of the month, check out the gallery crawl. We were able to work from the cabin in the morning and fish the weekend and evenings in nearby creeks. We will definitely stay here again!

Enjoyed our stay!

Cabin very clean, well stocked kitchen. Location in a quiet area, but close to downtown shops, restaurants and grocery store. We enjoyed grilling on the Weber gas grill and later relaxing in the hot tub. Stacey prompt in responding to questions. This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this cabin.

Exactly as expected!

Our original plans fell through but we found Buckin Crazy last minute. Everything went smoothly. The cabin is clean & cozy with enough privacy to make you feel like nobody is around. Beautiful view and comfy beds. We really relaxed during our stay.

Cute 2 bedroom cabin off country road. Nice view of mountains. Quiet and peaceful location. I loved the bathrooms and kitchen. It was very clean and modern. The porch was definitely a highlight because it wrapped around the house and there are plenty of chairs outside.

The property is beautiful! The area is nothing like the Gatlinburg area and plan on no traffic and a peaceful stay. There is plenty of commerce just minutes away so plan on having an enjoyable vacation!

Quiet Anniversary Getaway

The cabin was very beautiful. It was perfectly clean. The cabin had fully stocked kitchen and linens and towels for the Hot Tub. There was even a snow shovel for winter. The house even had house phone in case cellphone didnt work. Wifi worked great. The hot tub is not under deck, but to the side and has a beautiful view. The cabin is.jusy few miles from center of town so made easy drive into town but still up the mountain for views. The hot tub was nice and warm. The beds were nice, Firm but everyone has different taste. The firepit is on the side. It had rained for several days and the ground was soft walking down to firepit and little muddy. That's only negative thing to say about the cabin but maybe some walkway stone steps could help that. We had a great stay and oener/manager was easily reached for questions..We added on extra day to our reservation.

Perfectly Fine

The rental company did a great job creating an easy check in/out process, and they were very communicative leading up to our stay. The house was not nearly as clean as I would have hoped for it to be, especially considering the pandemic we are in the midst of- plenty of glassware, etc that noticeably hadn’t been cleaned in awhile. The furnishings were what you’d expect in an older cabin at this price point, no problem with anything but the beds- which were both pretty rough. The area is really charming and would be particularly beautiful in the snow. All in all, I think this is a perfectly mediocre property at a reasonable rate.

Perfect Mountain Get-a-way!

Great little cabin, easy to get to, beautiful view, wonderful porch with hot tub, comfy inside and well stocked kitchen. Only suggestion would be to freshen up the towels. We hope to be back!

You're Buckin' Crazy if you don't like this place

All the previous reviews are correct, this is a great place. Easy drive to downtown, less than 10 minutes but you feel you are far away due to the peace and tranquility. The house is spotless, comfortable, nice amenities, the beautiful northern view off the back deck. Even able to get photos of the comet Saturday night. The ability to pull right up to the front door and 2 small steps you are inside vs having to climb up or down a hill for so many places. Will always have this as our 1st choice when we return to West Jefferson.

Quiet and Convenient!

This is a wonderful property and we had a great time during our stay. The location is great (close to West Jefferson for groceries and downtown restaurants/businesses), and it's in a quiet area that's easy to get to. The view from the back porch is outstanding! We sat out there often enjoying our coffee and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains. We highly recommend this property.

Nice property, well-stocked and clean

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The kitchen was well-stocked (which is often hit or miss with mountain rentals) and the house was clean. We would definitely rent again. The overall location was not as private as some others, but the natural privacy (e.g., trees) blocked the nearest neighbors, which is all that really mattered to us. The deck was beautiful and well-maintained. The firepit seating was pretty weather-battered so I'd suggest bringing a camping/folding chair if you want to sit by the fire. But as they say, if that's your biggest problem you don't have a problem. The yard near the firepit was a decent size (especially for a mountain house) and my kids enjoyed being able to run around. And, if you want a workout, you can continue running up the road as you go past the house as it becomes very steep—I got a great workout in each day. If you're looking for a nice cozy getaway, I'd recommend this house. Thanks for a great stay!

Perfect for our small family

Great cabin with nice Mountain View. You have neighbors but the trees surrounding the cabin provided sufficient privacy. Just a warning for those with small toddlers, the fire pit/backyard is not on level ground so our two year old could not run freely in the backyard without tumbling down the hill. Someone always had to hold his hand. We spent most of the time out hiking so this did not bother us.
