Romantic 350 Year Old Casa Sophia

Welcome to our Paradise in Southern Greece. A Beautifully renovated 350 year old stone cottage with many original features situated in Pyrgos, an atmospherically traditional Greek village. 7 mins by car to the sea/beach. 45km from Kalamata Airport (KLX).

The airy main apartment has a large open plan kitchen/lounge with high timbered ceilings and hand crafted kitchen. A charming vaulted bedroom with open fireplace. Connected via a hallway is the second bedroom with antique pine furniture, oriental artefacts and Sea View. Finally a beautiful Italian tiled shower room. Outdoor the large vine covered terrace is a highlight, perfect for appreciating the view over the sea or enjoying lazy dinners on a balmy night.

Owners live downstairs (sound proofed between the floors). You have full privacy, we are just here to make your holiday as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

Vacation, work or both?? We can provide flexible solutions that include fast fibre WiFi, work space indoor and outdoor and all you need for work and pleasure.

Beautiful house in a very little village on a mountain, 10 minutes from the see and beaches. The house has everything you need. Beautiful terrasse with flowers and a good view on the see and valley. Very private and peaceful Lovely welcome from Sophia, she is very kind and helpfull. Every grocery and horeca you need very nearby. The surrounding is stunning. We had a very good Holliday. GemĂŒtliche Ferienwohnung mit einer phantastischen Terasse mit Meerblick

Sophia ist eine nette und aufmerksame Gastgeberin. Die Ferienwohnung ist sehr komfortabel und gemĂŒtlich. Eine Grundausstattung mit Speisen und GetrĂ€nken ist bei Ankunft vorhanden. Das Beste ist die Terasse mit vielen Blumen und Pflanzen. Von dort hat man einen phantastischen Blick auf den Messinischen Golf. Das Dorf Pyrgos ist etwas verschlafen aber mit dem Auto ist man in wenigen Minuten in Stoupa oder Agios Nikolaos.

Haus mit Charme

Wir haben den Aufenthalt und die Ruhe in diesem geschmackvoll eingerichteten Haus sehr genossen. Die KĂŒche ist prima ausgestattet und die gerĂ€umige Terasse lĂ€dt zum Verweilen ein. Das Dorf ist malerisch gelegen und hat seinen eigenen Charme. Sophia versorgt ihre GĂ€ste mit Geheimtipps zur Erkundung der Gegend - sowohl das Meer als auch das Gebirge sind gut zu erreichen. Die Kommunikation mit Sophia verlief einfach perfekt. Als wir kurz vor Mitternacht endlich eintrafen, wartete noch ein Snack auf uns. Vielen Dank fĂŒr alles, liebe Sophia!

Auf Entdeckungsreise

Wir wurden superfreundlich empfangen und Sophia hatte fĂŒr uns sogar schon etwas eingekauft. Die Lage ist super ruhig und schön gelegen mit Blick auf das Meer. Man kann schön auf der Terrasse entspannen. Das wirklich historische Haus wurde sehr gut restauriert und liebevoll eingerichtet und dekoriert. Die Vermieter sind einfach total nett und jederzeit fĂŒr Anliegen zur Stelle. Sehr herzlich. Also nur zu empfehlen. Wir haben hier eine sehr schöne Zeit verbracht.

Wunderschönes Haus in toller Umgebung

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in Sophias Haus. Sophia ist eine sehr nette, herzliche und ausgesprochen diskrete Gastgeberin. Insbesondere die Terrasse mit den tollen Pflanzen war ein absoluter Traum. Auch ihre zahlreichen Tipps fĂŒr Unternehmungen, StrĂ€nde und Restaurants waren toll und sehr hilfreich. Gerne immer wieder.

We spent ten days in mid-May 2023 in the well-equipped house of Sophia and Mogens who received us very friendly and provided us with good tips, interesting information and small attentions. We don’t miss anything. The house is very individually furnished with a lot of love. Highly recommended.

Super Apartment um sich zu erholen

Das Apartment ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und sehr gut ausgestattet. Die Vermieter sind sehr hilfsbereit und haben unsere Fragen prÀzise und schnell beantwortet. Die Terrasse bietet eine gute PrivatsphÀre und man kann sogar frische KrÀuter aus den Töpfen beim Kochen verwenden.

Altes, sehr gepflegtes Steinhaus fĂŒr Pflanzenliebhaber

Das Haus ist mit viel Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet, sehr gut ausgestattet (KĂŒche) und obgleich im Dorfverbund gelegen Tag und Nacht sehr, sehr ruhig; auf der Terasse sitzt man herrlich im GrĂŒnen. Sofia ist eine sehr zuvorkommende, hilfsbereite Gastgeberin. Auto erforderlich, da es in Pyrgos selbst nur ein kleines Kafenion gibt. Wir haben unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Kleiner Minuspunkt: Beim Kofferpacken fĂŒr unseren 4-wöchigen Aufenthalt hatten wir uns auf eine (im Inserat angegebene) Waschmaschine eingestellt, die es dann leider nicht gab.

From communications before arrival to a goodbye at the gate the hosts were wonderful, attentive and very helpful. My wife had been walking through Italy for three weeks while I was leading a scooter tour around Greece. The plan was for me to join her in Italy but the Peloponnese was cooler and had much less tourist so she joined me. We were looking for a nice quite comfortable place to spend some time and Casa Sophia exceeded our expectations. Though we spent most of our time on the terrace reading or walking locally, we made a daily venture up the mountains to one of the small villages for lunch. Or, we drove the quick 5 minutes down the mountain to one of the local beach towns. This was a fantastic break for us and Casa Sophia and it's location is what made it so. PS: even the knifes where sharp.

Wunderschönes Haus in denkmalwĂŒrdigem Dorf

Wir hatten sehr erholsame 14 Tage in dem sehr schönen, liebevoll restaurierten Ferienhaus von Sophia und Mogens in Pyrgos - einem sehr altem Dorf, traumhaft ruhig, landschaftlich schön gelegen, und fĂŒr verschiedene AktivitĂ€ten und AusflĂŒge in die Ă€ussere, innere, und östliche Mani sehr gut geeignet. Die geschmackvolle Gestaltung der Terrasse setzt sich im Inneren des Hauses fort, und durch die ausgeprĂ€gte Diskretion der sehr freundlichen Gastgeber fĂŒhlt man sich völlig ungestört.
