Excellent.

Great welcome and very accommodating. Room was clean and spacious. Directly opposite service station which made it easy to buy food and drinks. Comfortable bed. Excellent value for money. No hot water late at night when we arrived but there was in the morning. Be sure to close the room door as it doesn’t always shut tight.

The hotel was affordable and in a service station so I wasn’t expecting the ritz but what I didn’t expect was a damp ridden hotel. The room and hallways stank and were visibly wet. The paint was peeling off the walls. There was rust and mildew in the rooms. The room was so damp that the fresh towels were wet to touch as was the mattress. The lady on reception however was lovely. Whole place needs a complete revamp.

The actual hotel bears no resemblance the photos. Flies in room, filthy carpets with large bleach stains , water damaged ceilings, cleaning rags scattered through the hall way. The lady at check in was very nice.

Good and bad

Bit tired in places, nice sized room. Bit mouldy round window and paper peeling off wall. Bed was comfy, ideal for an overnight stay, close to Gatwick but heard no planes. Daughters had rats fighting outside their room.

Hotel good, staff friendly and helpful. However, we requested a twin bedded room when booking. We were told our room would be number 24 when our booking was confirmed. When we checked in we were given room 11, which was with a double bed. We requested twin beds due to a back problem that I have, so it was not helpful to be given the room change? We did not check in until the planned time after 11pm, it was rather late to request another room, so we accepted it.
