Rainbow Cottage - A home from home in the heart of Whitby

Ideal for families and small groups, this Victorian cottage in the heart of the town sleeps 5 with a double, a twin and a single room.
Tucked away in a quiet pedestrian backstreet, away from the noise of the road yet just a few yards from shops and cafes and only 5 minutes walk to the beach.
The vintage charm of this cottage is blended with contemporary fittings to ensure comfort and convenience whilst retaining its original features.
You will be able to unload your car outside, and parking is available in the streets around the cottage. We will provide free permits. Keys are kept in a key safe with the code provided prior to arrival.
Entering through the front door, you will immediately ascend a set of stairs, where you will find a large well equipped dining kitchen with modern shaker style cream units complete with an integrated fridge and freezer, a freestanding oven, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. There is also a separate wc/cloakroom on the first floor.
Another set of stairs takes you to a comfortable living room with an original cast iron fireplace, tv with Humax which offers more channels than freeview and a dvd player. There is a selection of books, dvds and board games. The cottage benefits from free wifi. Just off the living room is a single bedroom and contemporary bathroom with electric shower can also be found on this floor. The top floor has a double and a twin bedroom with views of Whitby Abbey.
This lovely cottage with its central location will quickly become a home from home for your holiday or short break. Please note that the cottage is located over 4 floors and may not be suitable for guests with limited mobility.

Great property, had everything we needed, very clean, loads of games and dvds as well. The huge fan was perfect for the heatwave! Near to shops and a short walk to harbour and bridge, would recommend and will visit again.

The property could do with a good deep clean but bedding and towels were fine, just quite dusty and handled were sticky. The infuser were quite potent so opened windows but then had cigarette smoke coming in. Shower is also very small. Location good and managed to find parking to it.

Loved all the different levels and rooms. The stairs were a good work out. Close to everything and everywhere we wanted to go to. Had everything we needed. All home comforts. Shower works well. Shower cubicle very snug. Sofa very low. Just needs sofa boards to stop the sofa from sinking too much. Would definitely recommend and stay again

Great little cottage for a family holiday, the owner was very communicative and the process for checking in and out were extremely straightforward. Really charming property in a fantastic location. We would definitely stay there again.

A lovely little cottage in the heart of everything on the West Cliff. We went for the weekend. Used the parking 2 minute from the cottage. Cottage is over 3 floors and well stocked with games and dvds which were great. Perfect location and views across to the abbey.

Cosy winter break in Whitby

Lovely stay. The cottage was just what we expected when we arrived as the online listing is very accurate. The location of the cottage is the biggest plus, but it is also appreciated that the owners are generous in providing all the little extra things within the cottage to help you make the most of your time away.
