Come get away to this impressive Victorian home on 9 1/2 acres of rolling hills in the White Mountains. Enjoy the comfort of two immaculate and spacious ( 12' x 15' each! ) bedrooms with a private full bathroom with shower. This home is managed by Bretton Woods Vacations, the area's #1 choice for vacation rentals, but this property is unique in that you will benefit from not only the availability of our attentive staff, but also the presence of on-site owners Barbara and Ron, who have been welcoming guests for several years with rave reviews. This haven is perfect for hikers, cyclists, golfers, skiers, sledding, snowmobilers, and leaf peepers - a perfect alternative to pricey hotel rooms!

The house is conveniently located close to downtown Whitefield, and yet boasts 9.5 acres of beautiful land which includes 10 walking trails through the rolling hills, apple trees, and a footbridge to the woods on the property. The main walking trails is a 1/3 mile trek leading to a beautiful view of Dalton Mountain, In season, you can enjoy the sweetness of low-bush blueberries, and kids will love to play on the swing set. As snow turns the property into a winter wonderland, you will find the property includes the best sledding hill in town - so much so that it used to host the Whitefield Winter Carnival, years ago! The whole 9 1/2 acres is available to you, which includes all walking trails. If you keep walking up the hill, you will come to another great spot for a walk - Park Street Cemetery, with its beautiful gardens and centuries of history. People are literally dying to get into that place!

If you're worried about privacy, don't be! You will have sole access to the space (no sharing with other renters). The owners have their own private quarters and will be there on most occasions, and they can be quiet as mice (you won't even see them during your stay), or available for an occasional question or tip on the best dining in the area. The hosts also and especially love to cater to the children of our guests, even setting out toys, age appropriate reading materials, and the occasional surprise that will make them welcome and special! The rooms are equipped with wifi, new kitchenette appliances (refrigerator, microwave, & coffee maker). Linens, towels, and toiletries are supplied as well!

ROOM CONFIGURATION AND DETAILS
This rental includes two bedrooms and a full bathroom on the upper level of the house. The lower level and part of the upper level are occupied by the hosts' quarters. The space is completely private with the exception of a room at the end of the upstairs hallway that is used as an office by the host. You will have sole access to the space ( no sharing with other renters ) .

Bedroom 1: Comfortable queen size bed, bunk beds, wardrobe with hangers, a well equipped desk, and a portable crib. Window AC in the summer months.
Bedroom 2: Full size bed and two single beds. Window AC in the summer months.

Short Term Rentals affect the neighbors and communities around them. We must do our duty to protect our local residents, our owners, our homes and the communities around us. These house rules are designed to make sure we comply with regulations and identify inappropriate behaviors that may cause tensions with our neighbors and other visitors. -Guest will be required to sign a rental agreement to comply with insurance requirements. You can view a sample agreement on our website.
-Check-in: Any time after 4PM; Check-out: 11 am. Unauthorized early arrivals or late checkouts subject to $100/hr fee.
- No Pets and No Unauthorized Guests: Guest count must match the number in your reservation. Please let us know if the number has changed. Unauthorized pets or guests subject to $300 fee and immediate termination of your stay with no refunds. Absolutely NO PARTIES without express authorization
-Quiet Hours: From 10 p.m. to 8 a.m., please keep noise to a minimum. During the day, please make sure noise levels are low enough not to bother others, and never leave a barking dog unattended! No fireworks on property. A $100 fee may be imposed for violations of these rules.
-No smoking inside the unit; $250 fee for violation.
-We are in Bear Country! No trash or food is to be left outside at any time; $100 fee for violations.
-Some of our homes are equipped with exterior cameras for security purposes.
-We have relaxed our cancellation policies. However, please note that there will be no exception to these policies, for no reason, no matter what the circumstances. Travel insurance is available on our website and from a variety of other sources; it is the traveler's responsibility to decide whether to protect their purchase or not. Due to contractual obligations with property owners, we will not be able to make any exceptions under any circumstances.
-Our homes are in rural locations in the North Country. We live in a beautiful environment surrounded by pristine natural habitats, and share this land with a variety of animals. We do our best to ensure a proper balance between pest control and health concerns and appreciate your patience if a critter may find its way in. Our team is always available to come take care of it. To help prevent issues, please refrain from leaving doors propped open and avoid leaving food in open space which could attract rodents and/or insects.

This home is located in Whitefield, a scenic Northern New England town nestled in the White Mountains, close all major White Mountains attractions. Bretton Woods, New Hampshire's largest ski resort, consistently rated #1 in the East for snow and grooming, and a 4-season destination with activities for all ages and all seasons, is about 20 minutes away. Aside from the historical Mount Washington Hotel, one of the few remaining grand hotels of the White Mountains, you can enjoy its award winning spa, restaurants, and a myriad of activities, from Canopy Tours/Zip Lining to Rock climbing, River Tubing, Mountain Biking, to Golfing, Scenic Lift Rides, Disc Golf, Archery, Tennis, Fly Casting clinics, and Horseback riding, Franconia Notch State Park, Lincoln, and Santa's Village are also all a short drive away. In fact, the house is centrally located near Whitefield's King Square, less than 10 minutes from the historic Mountain View Grand hotel, about 20 minutes from Bretton Woods, 30 minutes from Cannon, and 45 minutes from Wildcat, and 10 minutes from Santa's Village. It's also less than 10 minutes to Lancaster, a really cute northern New England town (a small city by our standards!), so you have lots of options for grocery shopping nearby (oh and the Polish Princess bakery is pretty amazing!).

In the winter, you will enjoy both downhill and cross country skiing at any of the nearby resorts, from Bretton Woods to Cannon and Loon. But that's not all. In the heart of the White Mountains, this area is the perfect home base to explore the innumerable attractions that they offer: the Cog Rail, Santa's Village, Story Land, Clark's Trading Post, the Flume Gorge, and more. Looking for something different? Spend the day shopping at the outlets in North Conway! So much to do, you'll just wish you had more time!
