Walker's Place - Historic Home Two Blocks from Downtown Whitefish!

Walking distance from the heart of downtown Whitefish, Walker's Place is a charming bungalow complete with an outdoor patio. Walker's Place has recently been renovated and freshly furnished and comfortably accommodates groups of four to six who enjoy the Great Outdoors and are ready to experience the charms of downtown Whitefish.

This quaint bungalow can comfortably house between 4-6 guests in two bedrooms and a pullout queen sleeper sofa. The first-floor bedroom is tucked in just off the living room and houses a full bed. Upstairs you'll find the second bedroom which features a king bed and a small sitting area that is perfect for some solo lounging or private conversations for the upstairs guests. A full bath with a stand-up shower is located on the first floor.

Downstairs, the fully equipped kitchen and dining area can easily accommodate your group when dining in is on the menu. The eat-in kitchen houses full-sized appliances and a table for six for your cooking and dining convenience during your stay. Hang out in the living room and visit or watch TV or play some games at the kitchen table and connect with your people.

Walker's Place also provides space for gear storage in the enclosed front porch and the laundry area. You'll also find a full-sized washer and dryer for your convenience. Out back you'll find a new deck, charcoal grill, and newly outfitted patio that's perfect for grilling, visiting, and enjoying the fresh mountain air. Finally, Walker's Place offers a private parking spot in its own driveway!

Within walking distance from Walker's Place, you'll find plenty to do including Whitefish Lake Golf Course & Restaurant (2 courses), Glacier Nordic Center (12K groomed trails), Whitefish River, Whitefish City Beach, and iconic Downtown Whitefish. Nice facility, great town, bad cancellation policy, fees too high

The property was fine (love Whitefish) but a concern with the VRBO pricing and cancellation process (or does each property owner get to set their own policies?). There needs to be more transparency/full disclosure regarding the total cost while a person is browsing. The assorted fees and taxes added 40% to the overall cost of the stay and I didn't see that until I had moved to the booking stage, after I had entered my cc #. An hour later, I wanted to cancel but the penalty was 50%. Instead of losing $1,000, we kept the reservation. That's not good business and I won't book on VRBO under these policies.

Great Spot for Weekend Getaway

We love Whitefish and usually visit a couple of times a year. We were lucky to find this place at a great price for the holiday weekend and we were not disappointed. Great set up with lots of space for our family of 3. Well stocked with essentials for laundry and in the kitchen. We loved the variety of puzzles and games to keep us occupied in the evenings. And the best part is the location! Love being able to walk downtown! Will definitely stay again!

Cute house and wonderful location

This house is in a great location. Just a 5 minute walk to town and free snow bus. Super easy to navigate to places you want to visit. The property was very well maintained with cute decorating. The surrounding neighborhood is nice with a lot of renovated properties. Would definitely stay again.

Perfect whitefish location and super rental

This was probably the most well-appointed vacation rental home in which I have ever stayed. They had everything one would need for cooking and enjoying the outdoors, even a nice cooler! Loved the close proximity to the river for to swimming too! Great value for whitefish too, I will be back for certain.

Cute place close to town

We enjoyed our stay here. The place is cute and has everything you need. You are located right close to the train tracks so things can get noisy at all hours. The bed shakes a bit too from the trains. Lots of trucks and construction at this current time.

Walker House Whitefish

The house is small, but neat and well maintained/furnished. The property manager was responsive. We had an issue with the access code that was remedied with one call. The location is great. Close to downtown and close to bike trails.

Stayed with 4 adults at Walkers Place over New Years. The kitchen was very well organized with all the cooking utensils we needed. Location was excellent, close to downtown and an easy drive to the hill !

Christmas in Whitefish

Property was very clean and walking distance from Central St. the Main Street downtown. Be aware there are stairs and master is upstairs. Small issue with checking in (access code) but someone from management company helped immediately on Christmas Eve, that was wonderful. Cozy little house seating is what you see in the pictures. Very accommodating....

Really cool place...walkable to anywhere downtown

Booked Walker's Place at the last minute and it did not disappoint. SkyRun said that it was recently remodeled and everything was so new and clean. The king mattress was very comfortable upstairs. There's a window AC upstairs and one downstairs. The back yard is small but comfortable. It has a small charcoal grill with some lounge chairs. The couch folds into a bed and the kitchen is great. The main thing was being able to walk everywhere. You're a block or two from everything. We'd like to come back in the winter. It looks like there's a ski rack in the front area and I think I read that there's a free bus that picks you up a couple blocks away.
