Nestled in the woods, overlooking a robust creek, we invite you to stay in a beautifully appointed home that compliments its setting.

This custom home greets you with locally harvested barn wood, soaring beams, and alder doors & trim to compliment its native setting. Panoramic views of the wooded hillside and flowing creek set the mood from your first step inside. A wall of windows gives warm light for gathering at the dining table and lounging on the sofas. A wood-burning stove providing both warmth and ambiance. The open kitchen, adorned with handsome cabinetry, corner farm sink, granite counters, and commercial stove & range invites you to prepare hand-crafted meals.

Three spacious bedrooms give everyone their own space to retire for a peaceful slumber while still being swaddled in nature. There is a main floor ensuite with five-piece bathroom and two additional bedrooms upstairs. The three bathrooms are thoughtfully designed, sparkling clean, and stocked with crisp linens. The cheery loft is a great space to play games, cuddle-up with a book, watch movies, and provide sleeping accommodations for a few more.

Every main level door opens onto the expansive wrap-around deck with views of the landscape and rushing stream. Away from the light pollution of the cities, stargazing from the hot tub is a treasured experience.

Find magic at the falls! Take a 4 minute walk to the amazing creekside deck -- so close to waterfall you will feel the cool mist rising up from the clear water below. Enjoy your morning coffee or evening cocktail on this exquisite, multi-leveled, redwood deck.

Stargaze from the hot tub on large deck overlooking the year 'round creek. Explore the grounds: Walking paths are nestled among the ancient oak trees, providing a great opportunity to unwind.

Take a homestead farm tour, feed our goats and horses, collect fresh eggs from our hens.

Located about 25 minutes east of Redding and the Redding Airport (with direct flights from Denver and Seattle). It’s an easy drive up a well-maintained and traveled county road

Take a scenic drive to Lassen National Park and/or Burney Falls. Whiskey Town Rec Area and Shasta Lake and Mt Shasta, Castle Crags, McCloud Falls, and Lake Siskiyou are also easy to explore from here.

Wow! What a slice of heaven. Our family spent Christmas here and enjoyed every minute. We celebrated our annual Sisters’ Weekend at Whitmore Falls. It was a perfect get away for 5 women in their 60s and 70s.Jody and Lisa were incredible hosts and their farm animals of all sorts were additional ambassadors who provided great entertainment.The house was well stocked, spacious, and tastefully appointed. The interior and exterior exceeded our expectations.The grounds were well kept and the creek was relaxing and beautiful. The rock formations are so interesting. Communication was top notch and Jody was so accommodating.This was our first visit to Whitmore and this farm experience was an excellent introduction to a beautiful area with lots of outdoor opportunities.

Amazing getaway!

The house and property are wonderful. The house is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. The creek was amazing! We spent time swimming, exploring and sitting in the creek on chairs or on the deck relaxing and reading. The hot tub under the stars was so beautiful.

Another wonderful stay

Back from another wonderful stay at Whitmore falls. Jody’s property is truly amazing. My family and I have stayed before but each time somehow we make even more great memories. Even our dog loves visiting! The house is beautiful, well stocked and comfortable. Having access to the falls is great for our son. I’m worried one trip he won’t want to come back home.

Another fantastic stay

We returned to Whitmore for an extra-long weekend with family and friends and everything was perfect—again. From the thoughtful welcome gifts awaiting us, to the beautiful animals our kids delighted in greeting everyday, and of course the waterfalls and swimming hole that were exceptionally full this year from the rains… We enjoyed and deeply relaxed. Jody and Lisa are the most thoughtful and warm hosts around, and make guests feel so welcome. We find it hard to leave this magical place, but do so knowing we will be back!

We had such a lovely time here! The house is beautifully appointed with everything we could have needed. Gourmet kitchen, lovely dinner outdoors on the deck, with multiple seating areas. Perfect Stay :)

Our family had a pleasant experience staying at this excellent home. The property is super clean, spacious and beautifully designed. We visited the creek, the current was running strong but the view was amazing. We enjoyed interacting with all the animals (hens, baby chicks, goats, horses...and the sweetest dogs Penny and Nova!) Wonderful stay

The house has many modern conveniences and makes for a very comfortable stay. The loft with big screen TV was great for the kids to have their own space at times during the day, and there were many DVDs that were family friendly. The beds are comfortable and the window shades are blackout style to help with sleeping in. During the winter the hot water made it through the pipes pretty quickly and the water pressure is really good in the showers. The property is pretty big (10 acres?) to explore and the goats and hens are fun to see everyday. Best of all, the property owners are very friendly and are dedicated to enabling a wonderful stay!

Absolutely Amazing

Our mini vacay was absolutely amazing. The pictures and descriptions do not do it justice. It's an experience we will never forget. Wonderful Return to Whitmore Falls

This was our second stay here and we were so glad to come back. Everything was just as wonderful as we remembered and we made some great memories there again. Jody is an excellent host; welcoming, friendly and helpful. (We especially appreciated her help finding a great vet nearby when our pup unexpectedly needed to make a visit.). If you come in the summer, definitely reserve ample time for swimming/relaxing down by the waterfalls and creek. It's so beautiful and refreshing on a hot summer day. Thanks, Jody! We have rented a lot of vacation homes, but this was probably the best stocked home we have stayed in. The owners have provided everything a family might need during vacation. The farm itself was relaxing and a lot of fun for our kids, who enjoyed seeing the goats, petting the cat, and playing in the waterfall. Those with mobility issues would probably find the grounds challenging, and those with really little kids might need to avoid the waterfall for safety reasons. For our family, these weren't issues, and we had a great stay at this beautiful home.

Wonderful California Trip

We had a wonderful experience staying at Whitmore Falls. The home was beautiful with a chef like kitchen and a vegetable garden to pick from! The deck was an extension of the house where we ate meals and could enjoy hearing the river below. The stargazing was incredible! The lower deck by the falls was as pretty as the creeks at Lassen National Park nearby. We had our adult children with us and it was the perfect size to accommodate everyone. Hosts, Jody and Matthew, were wonderful to work with. They had a bottle of local wine for us when we arrived. We would love to return! Brenda in Texas

Special place special river

Wonderful vacation at Jody and Matthew's home. As one reviewer mentioned, the pictures don't do justice to the property. The private waterfalls and swimming holes were a great treat. Every morning we sat on the porch for our morning coffee, watching the chicken and goats meander by; woodpeckers feeding their young; humming birds (lots of them) humming around; Novah the dog on his good morning rounds. The kids loved giving treats to the goats (provided by our hosts). Fresh eggs and fruit from the farm. I can keep going...

Adventure awaits

My family and I had an absolutely amazing stay at Whitmore Falls. Not only was the house immaculate, but the attention to detail and amenities exceeded our expectations. The house in itself is well-appointed with beautiful decor, comfortable beds and well stocked kitchen supplies. The outside grounds are a dream come true for city folks. There is ample space to explore and to rejuvenate by the majestic creek and under the clear starry sky. My children loved feeding the animals and exploring the grounds. The homeowners were very kind, attentive, and helpful during our stay. We loved learning about the daily workings of the farm. We hope to come back again soon! Thank you for creating ever lasting memories.

Riverfront magic

What an incredible property and what amazing hosts. Truly one of the most special places we’ve come across. Our kids were thrilled to collect eggs from the free-roaming chickens, to feed the nice goats. Those were their (non river) highlights along with the big hot tub, corn hole and multiple board games to be found. The house is pretty much perfect - dream kitchen with all the accoutrements, big comfy beds, beautiful beams and high ceilings, electric piano, big couches, and lot of useable outdoor entertaining space. And then…there is the spectacular river/river deck. Private river access with a grill, full dining table, and lounge chairs. Amazing swimming holes and even the perfect path to a separate quiet river entrance for the toddler/preschool aged kiddos. We cannot wait to return to this gem!

Wow! Just wow!

The ad and pictures are indeed accurate. This is a lovely home in a picturesque area (in spite of the occasional smokiness from the Dixie fire.) The house is extremely well-appointed, with everything you need. I really appreciated the full kitchen with all the cookware, cooking oils, and a well-alphabetized well-stocked spice cabinet. Jody (and Matthew) was a very friendly host, providing us with freshly-laid eggs, fresh-picked tomatoes, cucumbers, pluots, and plums. The water level in the creek was a tad less than in the pictures, but there was still plenty of water below the falls to swim in. (It being a drought, I wasn't sure there would be ANY water.) This was a wonderful place to come back to and relax after a day of hiking in Lassen Volcanic NP or checking out the sights in Redding.
