A cottage overlooking our garden and on the other side the 'Dorpsweide'.
The house was renovated in 2011 and is 300 meters from the sea, beach and dunes. In December 2017 the bathroom is renewed and made bigger.
Cottage has a living room / kitchen, bedroom, and a toilet / shower
You have your own entrance. If you go out of the house, you will see the traditional Dorpsweide where the inhabitants lived around already in earlier times, as well as Today.
Seven times per year, is a kofferbakmarkt organized on the Dorpsweide. where people offer goods out of a suitcase.
Data Kofferbakmarkt 2019: 8 April, 12 May, 9 June, 14 July, 11 August, 8 September and 13 October.
In the summer of July and August there is a tasting market every Saturday from 17.00 on the place where you can taste different small tastes, what to do for the kids, and then there is live music.
There are also several good restaurants and bars in the immediate vicinity.
Amsterdam, Haarlem and Alkmaar with the famous Kasemarkt are easy to reach by car.
With us you can park for free and use free Internet.
In Beverwijk, 5 km away, there is the Bazaar with a large covered oriental market and flea market.
There you can enjoy oriental atmosphere to the fullest.
There are different every week Musikauffuhrungen and music festivals.
We also have a large, well-stocked Spar supermarket where you can tatigen your purchases.

In 2009 Wijk aan Zee won the National Village Renewal Award and in 2010 the European Village Renewal Prize.
In 1999, Wijk aan Zee was proclaimed Culturellen Dorf together with 1 other villages in Europe.
Strobeck in Germany, Kirchheim in Austria, the Czech Republic Bystre, Mellionec in France, etc.
We have also designed a skulptures park here in the village of the artists from different European countries with steel from our steel factory.
To inaugurate this park our Queen Beatrix was present.
On our beautiful and special wide beach you can sunbathe, fish, surf kitesurf and swim.
The dunes offer, go biking and hiking on.

We Rob van der Klooster and Trudi Duin welcome you in our house and give you tips for your stay with us.

4 days for visiting Netherlands

Trudi is a super host ! We really liked our stay here at Wijk aan see. A really beautiful place and the beach only at 5 mins by foot. Not far of famous places like Amsterdam, Haarlem, Zaanse Schans, Edam ..

Nice owners, but grey apartment

Very nice lady, Trudy. The apartment is big enough, but not well equipped. Just two spoons, two forks, etc. Not very nicely decorated, could use a doing over. Okay for a few days with good weather. Otherwise a bit depressing. Just nothing done eith love in there. Bathroom without the possibility to put anything down. Many cables hang around loose and uncovered. Location is very good. Owners are very nice and helpful.

Ideal location for exploring the Netherlands

The description and photos correspond well to the accommodation: simple, functional, very clean. Our hostess is a particularly friendly hostess, both efficient and discreet. Do not hesitate to follow his excellent advice for discovering the attractions of his region. Everything you need is available in the rental. The location is ideal : the sea on foot of course, but also a seaside resort located about 30 minutes by car from Amesterdam, 20 minutes from Haarlem, visited on the advice of our hostess and we enjoyed, 35 minutes from Keukenhof, if the season allows you to enjoy this magnificent botanical park. In short, to conclude, we appreciated the kindness of our hostess, the location of this functional rental and the many facets of the Netherlands, which responded well beyond our expectations for an excellent stay.

Wijk aan Zee, make you say whee!

Wonderful hosts, Trudi and Rob provided everything I could've asked for and more. They were friendly, accomodating, informative, and always ready to give you a tip to find the *best* places to eat. The accomodation was cozy, with plenty of space for myself to stretch out after long days exploring the beaches and the cities. Rent a bike at the local shop, and you're not only in walking distance of the beach, you're only a 15 minute bike ride from Beverwijk train station where you can ride the train to Amsterdam for just $16 round trip. Bring your bike, because almost everything you want to see is just a short bike away from all the stations. Beaches are some of the nicest I've ever seen. Not a peice of litter ANYWHERE! Please help to keep it like that! There are amazing opportunities to talk with the locals, and learn about the area, because everyone speaks English, and everyone is so friendly! There's more I could say, but you'll need to find that out for yourself 😊 12/10 stars! Want to stay again!

bon endroit pour visiter le nord des pays bas

gite assez petit mais suffisant pour 2 personnes interieur tres propre mais les structures du gite en particuliers les fenetres et les portes exterieures necessitent un bon rajeunissement de meme la cour aurait la cour aurait besoin d'un bon nettoyage

Wir waren positiv überrascht, insbesondere, dass die Wohnung dann doch etwas größer wirkte als auf den Fotos. Obwohl uns nicht bewusst war, dass wir uns denn Garten teilen, war die Atmosphäre sehr angenehm, da sowohl Trudi als auch Rob sehr freundlich waren.

Sehr sauber und die Gastfamilie sehr freundlich

Wir waren eine Woche in der Unterkunft, der Check in und Check out waren problemlos und sehr angenehm. Das Häuschen war sehr sauber, aber schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Das Bild vom Wohnzimmer im Inserat hat leider nichts mehr mit dem heutigen Aussehen zu tun. Es gibt nur noch eine ganz kleine Couch, wo eigentlich nur eine Person drauf passt, es sei denn, man quetscht sich zusammen. Die Couch ist auch schon völlig durchgesessen und man sitzt auf dem Holz. Daneben steht noch ein, ich nenn es mal gepolsterter Stuhl, der auch nicht gerade bequem ist. Man darf bei dem super Preis aber auch nicht so viel erwarten. Trotz allen haben wir uns wohl gefühlt und hatten einen tollen Urlaub bei Trudi. Es liegt sehr zentral, aber trotzdem schön ruhig.

Schöne kleine Hütte für 2 Personen.

Einfache kleine Unterkunft, perfekt für 2 Personen. Der Strand ist zu Fuß 10 Minuten entfernt. Der Aufenthalt hat uns sehr gut gefallen.

Leider stimmen die bilder des Insetates nur zum Teil mit der Wahrheit überein.Die Fotos des Wohnzimmers sind nicht meht aktuell. anstelle der 2 abgebildeten Sesssel steht dort nun ein kleines Sofa, auf dem 2 Personen nur mit Mühe Platz haben. Im Badezimmer ist ein Spiegel, aber keine Steckdose. Dort. wo es Steckdosen für den Föhn gibt, ist kein Spiegel. Es ist etwas kalt dort, man wird gebeten, nicht zuviel Gas zu verbrauchen, aber es gibt keine zusätzlichen Decken. Tassen sind genügend vorhanden, aber Besteck ist knapp. Die vorhandenen Prospekte für Ausflugsmöglichkeiten in der Umgebng sind überwiegend veraltet. Vormieter lassen teils Lebensmittel zurück, dies werden vom Vermieter aber nicht kontrolliert und haben teils das Haltbarkeitsdatum überschritten. Die Kaffeepadmaschiene mußte ich erst einmal eingehend säubern. Die Matratzen sind bequem. Im Badezimmer riecht es teils unangenehm aus dem Abfluss,der zum Übertünchen des Geruchs vorhandene Duftstecker verschlimmert dies noch, da er sehr intensiv riecht.Die Verrmieterin ist freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt kaum Aufbewahrungsmöglichkeiten für die mitgebrachte Kleidung. Die Lage ist gut, Strand, Dorfplatz, Sparmarkt sind fußläufig ereichbar.Der Kühlschrank mit dem Gefrierfach sind geräumig und sauber. Im Badezimmer ist nach dem Duschen der Boden komplett naß, ein Badvorleger wäre prima.

Ferienhaus im Garten

Die kleine Laube ist wie beschrieben: einfach, sauber und gemütlich. Man darf keine hohen Ansprüche haben. Aber für einen Kurzaufenthalt ist alles vorhanden. Die Vermieterin ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Ihre Empfehlungen sind klasse. Besonders die Fischbude auf dem Marktplatz ist toll. Wir haben schon lange nicht mehr so leckeren Fisch gegessen. Auch die Lage ist ideal. In wenigen Minuten ist man an einem tollen Strand, der nicht überlaufen ist. Wenn man eine Gartenlaube als Unterkunft in Ordnung findet, kann man dort prima unterkommen. Falls wir in der Gegend noch einmal einen Kurzurlaub machen möchten und die Laube frei ist, werden wir sie wieder buchen. Lieben Dank an die Vermieterin. Corinna L.

Eine erholsame Woche

Für eine Woche zu zweit war die Unterkunft sehr geeignet. Von dort aus konnten wir am Strand, in den Dünen, in den nahe gelegenen Städten zu Fuß, mit dem Rad, mit dem PKW oder der Bahn das unternehmen, was wir uns vorgenommen hatten. Wir fühlten uns gut betreut. Udo Arnoldi

Kurzurlaub

Die Vermieter waren sehr nett und zuvorkommend. Wir haben sogar ein Begrüßungsgeschenk erhalten. Die Wohnung ist sauber könnte aber von Grund auf renoviert werden. In der Nähe ist ein großes Industriegebiet, je nach Windrichtung ist mit Geruchsbelästigung zu rechnen (verbrannter Kohle). Strand, Dünen und Naturpark sind sehr schön. Alles schnell zu erreichen. Wohnung liegt dafür ideal. Supermarkt und Restaurants auch in unmittelbarer Nähe.

Rundum zufrieden

Wir hatten alles was wir brauchten. Man ist schnell in Amsterdam etc. Und wir mochten besonders die Betten, weil diese nicht so durch gelegen waren. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder

Kleine Ferienwohnung

Objekt ist Ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Gastgeber sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Preis/ Leistung sind angemessen.Gerne wieder.
