This place had a bad reputation in years prior under a different name and, I guess, different ownership. When I arrived and recognized it, I was a little wary. But it seems to have been turned around under present ownership. My room was very clean, seemed to have been recently remodeled. The bathroom was modern. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The only very minor things that it was missing was maybe a blow dryer and a place to hang up clothes if you needed to. As I said, minor. I'd stay again.

Old style motel with remodels. Looks nice in pics but not sure why this motel gets any high marks. It was clean but beds are like rocks. Pillows are an inch thick. Heating unit roars. Door difficult to lock. One night stay, so we overlooked issues. But noise in nearby unit persisted beyond midnight. Loud talking, arguing, sounded like doors and objects being slammed. Sleep was impossible. Reported it 2x to manager. He said he talked to them, got blowback, would have to call police. We asked for another room. None available. We left because we felt it was becoming scary and we had family member with disabilities with us to consider. Tried to get our money back through hotels.com the next day but was told we didn't allow them to fix the problem by calling hotels right then! Honestly, it did not occur to me. And we were supposed to hang around while this continued at 1230 am and wait for the police? Got a half credit through hotels but only after escalation. Be aware you must call them immediately if there is a problem. They said they would've gotten us another room. We tried four places nearby. Booked solid. I think the manager tried to help but ultimately more consideration was given to the disruptive party.

Staff at check-in was friendly and took time to explain things. The room is small but clean. I saw so relieved it was not carpet! The floors were clean, bathroom was spotless. Looked like new renovations. No funky weird smells. Definitely stay again next time we are visiting.

Great, clean, friendly place to stay!

This place is great! From the staff at check-in to the housekeepers we were made to feel welcomed and appreciated. If we are ever in this area again we will definitely stay again!

It was a small room with a hard matress. The plug for the tub drain was sitting on the tub itself and there was no toilet paper holder. They sit the toilet paper on the back of the toilet.

Quiet, clean, close to shopping and few minutes from Mohegan casino. Wonderful woman at front desk was very helpful and pleasant. I decided to stay at this lodge since the casino was charging three times the rate and for me, it wouldn’t be worth it because I’d be spending most of my time out of the room anyway. A nice place to stay for a reasonable price. I would recommend to anybody and I will be back.

Nice clean comfy room but didn’t feel welcome

Clean comfortable room. Short drive to dining and shopping. Staff was very nice. The problems were the harsh polices about check-in and check-out, and the unfriendly tone of the posted notice about them. I didn’t even know what they were trying to say with the thing about a half hour (see pic). Worse: all the free AC outlets are blocked off so you can't plug things into them. To charge devices you have to unplug the TV, microwave, or fridge.

How do people rate this place a 10?

The lobby smelled terrible. There is an abandoned building next door. There were people arguing outside at 5 am. Some questionable people living or staying there. The bed was uncomfortable and had 3 small flat pillows for 2 people. I would never stay here again.
