When walking the property, there are parts that are no longer functioning. That was fine. Except the one restaurant outside the morning breakfast that was closed permanently. Disappointing.

I wish I could give this property a better review. The staff and housekeeping were excellent. I booked two adjoining rooms for our 4 night stay. The pool is awesome but it seemed like it closed a big early, especially after spending the day at BGardens. There is no restaurant, no bar (that was a bummer). Rooms were clean. Hotel itself is dated...as in a 1990s wallpaper dated. We had a broken floor lamp in one of the rooms and the refrigerator didn't get very cold in the second room. One of the airconditioners didn't work very well. The biggest issue for me was the bed. It was entirely too soft. The soft as in where you sink into it and I was unable to sit up and read....or sleep. I ended up sleeping on the chair that converted into a cot during our stay, which worked better than the bed for me, but it was lousy. The airconditioning in the lobby and hallways never seemed to work...it was hot. I think they were working on it though. One of the windows outside of our room was boarded up for the entirety of our stay. Honestly, these were not big things for ME, but I feel like I need to state them for a fair review. According to one of the managers, they are not exactly in their busy season yet.....but....the breakfast- if you didn't get down there early, they ran out of food. Coffee was ok. They did not have enough seating for breakfast. It was chaotic.

Rooms are a bit dated but the convenience of the location is worth it. Decent breakfast and a great visitor center and Colonial Williamsburg is short walk down a great path.

The bathrooms did not have vents so the room was very humid. The gluten free options had every child's favorite cereal, so there was a lot of cross contamination. Gluten free toaster being used by everyone.The coffee was burnt. Milk room temperature. Eggs like golf balls. Room smelled like chemical trying to mask the cigarette smell. Cement floors would have almost been softer than the 50 year old, worn out mattresses. If l could get my money back, l would be happy. A simple Holiday Inn Express is 1,000% better.

Clean, charming, and a short walk to Colonial Williamsburg. The staff was friendly and helpful. Kids loved the pool and splash park. Breakfast was limited and crowded, but with so many nearby restaurants, it wasn’t a problem.

The room didn't meet my expectations. My girlfriend is very allergic to mold, and it was coming out of the wall. The wallpaper was torn, and a dehumidifier was running underneath. We were disenchanted. Otherwise, the staff, check-in/checkout was fine.

Staff service from everyone on the property was amazing, always a lovely smile from every person in each department I came across. My only complaint is that the beds in 5126 might need an update, very shaky and I did not have a lot of confidence in them. Also the portable AC made the carpet yet and any clothes near it wet. I do have to say, it added to the historical feeling of the building haha! Would stay again either way!

Skip Williamsburg Woodlands Hotel

We checked out early and stayed elsewhere. Rooms are very outdated and tired looking. Breakfast was hard boiled eggs, granola bars and oatmeal packets. We placed 3 calls to get TV remote fixed -- it wouldn't turn off the TV. After 3rd visit for same issue, we gave up and left - staying at another hotel for the night before driving back to DC. On premise restaurant and other amenities closed for renovation but this is not accurately represented.
