This quaint property was within walking distance of Windermere. There is also a bus you can catch just around the corner. Our room was clean and well appointed but only had a bath which my husband struggled with. The breakfast was adequate and served by a bright and friendly lady. Check in could have been better by offering some additional information regarding the bus service to town and maybe some suggestions of things to do in the area or good restaurants to eat at. Overall a great stay, thank you.

Very clean free parking which was good very good breakfast. £5 for taxi to Bowness in Windermere. Definitely worth a visit

Room 8

Rum Doodle was almost everything we could of asked for. Was a beautiful building with off road parking available. It was located half way between the busy lakeside and the top of Windermere. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was a great way to start the day. The only issue we had was in room 8, that we had booked, the bathtub was in the corner of the bedroom. This was against the slanted ceiling, which made showering impossible. This was not mentioned in the room description, otherwise we would have selected a different room.

We had a lovely stay at this well presented property. Our room was spacious with a separate seating area with TV from the bedroom. Breakfast was absolutely fantastic and cooked to order. We will definitely return, thank you.

Pleasant stay with a few drawbacks. The room was spacious and the bed very comfortable, making for a relaxing base. Staff were friendly and helpful—especially appreciated the lovely walk recommendation. Breakfast was good quality ingredients and nice, although the dining area felt a bit cramped. Unfortunately, cleanliness let the room down slightly, with stained carpets and hairs on the bathroom floor on arrival. Noise from the room above was quite disruptive, especially being woken at 1am. With better soundproofing and a deeper clean, it could have been a perfect stay.

Perfect in every way. We were bowled over by the sheer high standard of the room down to the finest details. Super comfortable. Host exceptionally friendly. Breakfast was of the highest possible standard. Altogether fantastic Will definitely stay again.
