Poor service / not friendly at check in. Minimal conversation, lacked a sense of welcome. When I was given my room, it had an overwhelming musty and mildew smell. It was unbearable. While I was happy that the front desk understood my concern and relocated me to a new room within an hour, I was very disappointed when the front desk staff reinforced their complete awareness of the room smell. When I shares my concerns, the reply was, “oh yeah those rooms on that side don’t get ventilated very well and it gets so hot and the AC struggles so it all just drips on the ceiling and it can get musty smelling.” Horribly disappointing to know that staff (and assuming administration) is aware of this issue but yet a) don’t do anything about it and b) continue to put guests into these rooms. While my new room had no smell and good AC, ALL staircases and hallways ALWAYS had a smell. Sometimes musty, sometimes a cleaner smell but you could tell it covering up cat or dog pee or something similar. Very uncomfortable overall. Carpets are disgusting as well. We appreciated the games and amenities of the hotel, but the overall cleanliness is turning me away from ever booking there again, which is sad. Something needs to be done.
