The Industrial Loft Guesthouse sleeps 15+ and always welcomes 4-legged friends (sorry, dogs only). Well-known for its mid-century façade, and listed on the National Register of Historic Buildings, the 2-story, open-concept, industrial design pays homage to the buildingâs commercial history. The downtown location is ideal, walking distance to Winfield's eclectic downtown businesses and lovely Island Park.
Ah-mazing! I loved that my family had enough space that we weren't on top of each other! Loved the large kitchen area for preparing meals. Appreciated that there were lots of outlets for all of the electronics! And plenty of bathrooms so that no one was ever waiting. 100% would recommend! Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home!
The space was great. There was plenty of room for our large family gathering with beds for everyone. The kitchen appliances gave us a few frustrations but we had delicious food anyway. All in all, the weekend was very successful and we were happy to have been in the space with each other.
The property was perfect for our gayhering of friends and family. It is very spacious with room to entertain, cook, sleep or just relax and watch a movie. We had eight people who slept comfortably and space to prepare and host a dinner party for twenty.
Upon entering you are greeted with an odor that smells perhaps like pet or fish. First night was rough with the train blaring through repeatedly while trying to get the baby to sleep. The next night (Saturday) there was no train. Group bathroom upstairs does not lock. The other bathroom upstairs off one of the bedrooms had no handle for the shower. We couldnât identify any extra double bed anywhere (said to be in common area 1) There appears to be 2 twin cots besides the bedroomsâ beds stated on the description. The main light in the efficiency bathroom did not work, and some of the kitchen utensils looked dirty. The hostess was quick to reply to my questions. Overall I give it 3 stars.
This is our second time staying here and it's such a gem in Winfield. Check-in is easy and the hosts are very responsive. The place is open and large but the description doesn't capture all the little things that make this home such a fun stay. Like, the large walk-in shower in the upstairs primary room, the large board game collection, the coffee and filters stocked up, and the super fun karaoke machine. Thanks Emily & Joe for another great stay!
Great property! We loved the historic property. Great location, close to restaurants and shops. Plenty of space for our group to spread out and relax. The bonus was that my dad had worked at Petit Cleaners in the late 1950s, so hearing stories about the building was a joy.
Very clean property with tons of space. Enough beds for everyone in our group to have their own. Nice hidden spot with a modern yet vintage warehouse vibe. Excellent communication with property owners. Picture donât do it justice to how spacious this place is. Thank you for having us, and look forward to staying here in the future!
Plenty of space and lots of things to do for a large family. Great price and location. The lighting was challenged (several bulbs missing) and hard for doing makeupâŠbring a lighted mirror with! For summer visitors the A/C canât keep up during the heat in the upstairs bedrooms. It didnât catch up until about 4am each night. The books and movies available were awesome! Kitchen didnât have silverware, but we had plastic with! Keeping in mind the old industrial building it was in a previous life it was a great place and big space.
We were in town for a family event and the industrial historic loft was the perfect place for everyone to gather. Even family members who stayed at the hotel and lived in the area gathered at our rental because it was so big and comfortable.
The place is different and quirky but has such a fun charm. The sheets are all super soft and the beds are comfy. The kitchen is large and has everything to make meals and store food for everyone.
We loved all the extras too: games, books, tons of room for luggage, a full bag of ice, filtered water in the fridge, dog toys and poo bags (so thoughtful!) and a sing-along machine that made it even more fun. Thanks for being dog friendly - our family's dog had a great time in the Cistern Chapel too!
We'll definitely stay here again.
Overall, our impression of the property was favorable. It's a successfully converted industrial loft in a small, rural Kansas community--very nice place to stay.
Never spent any time in Kansas other than to drive through on freeway. Choose to stay in Winfield because of its location w/o knowing anything about it. Really a great little town. Rental was within a block of Main Street. Enjoyed walking around town and exploring surrounding countryside as we searched for and found several of the stone arched bridges the area is known for. Also found several nice restaurants w/in easy walking distance. The âhouseâ is a little funky and much larger than we needed but it was comfortable and learning itâs interesting history made it a fun place to stay. The owner was very helpful providing the history.
My son got married in Winfield and we needed a place to stay and this place did not disappoint! It was a great place for family and friends to come over and hang out during events. I was even able to host a Groomâs breakfast on the day of the wedding. We even got to have a family game night. Everyone LOVED the building!
This was just a wonderful place to stay. All the unique features are great accessories. Not only did we stay there, we had a reception for our mother who was retiring and the space and the layout were perfect. We made many long term memories in property this weekend. Thank You
