I always stay there when we go to Winfield, KS. Everyone is very nice, and the property and rooms are very clean.

I checked in and the lady covering for the family was very kind. Checkin was easy and room very clean and accessible. When I entered the room no heat wasn’t on so extremely cold. I turned the heat on and left until late in the day. When I returned I realized the heating system was making a loud wining noise, which kept me from being able to sleep, so I turn it off. When I woke up the room was again extremely cold, so I turned the heat on and got ready for the day. When leaving I checked back in at the front desk and told them of the problem with the heater and we decided to move me to another room for my second night. I returned late on this evening and discovered there was no electricity to the entire motel. I waited it out until 11:30 and left because the room was extremely cold because there still was no electricity. I was in town for a funeral and didn’t sleep well the night before because of the heater issue and couldn’t afford to not sleep two nights in a row before an all day funeral. I went to the front desk and the office was all locked up and no one would answer the door. I left and went to another hotel in the area. I returned early afternoon the next day and discussed the issues with my room on both nights in detail with the clerk and she chose to only refund 50% for the loss of use for the second night, after first offering 20% refund. I finally agreed just to get it over with and left. Three days later I discovered she went ahead and charged me full price.

It was not the nicest place I have been, but you could tell the owners care aboutbitband take care of it. I would definitely stay there again. The price was really good.

The pictures of the Econo Lodge were deceiving. This is an old motel style with all rooms opening to the parking lot.
