Hotel is in desperate need of care and upgrades. The elevator is tiny, ancient, and fear-inducing. You will have to wait. Our family of four were cramped even without our luggage. Service lights only half-worked, so you were left guessing if the elevator was working or on its way to your floor.
Rooms were functional and little more. Walls included obvious patching, holes from old headboards and artwork, and bathroom grout was grossly black. The water either had not run in a while in that room or recent work was done, when I first arrived it blasted air, then belched out cloudy water. A thorough run eventually led to clearer water, but still a funky aftertaste that I couldn't tell if it was city water at issue or the buildings attempt at plumbing. I did not drink.
The wall socket beside our bed did not work, and another would go on and off if the socket was nudged. Could only imagine what the wiring must look like inside there.
We reserved through hotels.com and paid the advertised price, but at check-in the agent charged us an additional $11.20 without a statement as to what this fee was for.
The breakfast bar was clean, well attended and provided a variety of options in the morning, but only open from 6-9a, so be sure to get up early. Beds were comfortable, air conditioning worked.
Ultimately, it's what I would expect from a Super8 or Budget hotel. I expected more.
