I booked a balcony room so I could look out over the lake and enjoy the night sky, but that was ruined by an overly bright spotlight shining directly on the building. The light spilled into my room and onto the balcony, making it impossible to relax or stargaze, and it even woke me up around 4 a.m. since there were no blackout curtains.
I also didn’t appreciate the phone calls asking when I would arrive — that felt intrusive. As a paying guest, I expect privacy and the freedom to check in at my convenience. There was no staff available at night, and the front desk representative I interacted with was unfriendly. On top of that, there are no late-night food options nearby.
This hotel has potential because of its location on the lake, but the poor service, lack of amenities, and intrusive lighting make it hard to recommend.
