Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the âDamage Waiverâ). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 21 years of age to book. Guests under 21 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation.
I cleaned the tub before use because I could tell it had not been used in a while. When filling the hot water ran out and the tub was not even a quarter full. There were pubic hairs on the register next to the toilet. We found sticky medical tape on top of the shower. Overall our stay was very mediocre.
I have told the property management the problems. The mattress on the bed was motel 6 quality, pots and pans in the kitchen were all scratched up and unusable, the kitchen table was all broken up and covered over with a bed sheet and the sofa leaned toward the middle plus there were no other chairs to sit in. We had to bring in a patio lawn chair.
I sent pictures of all this to the property manager and still have them if needed.
Those were the main problems - the other things were cosmetic - top drawer of dresser had no slides and fell out, heat register in bedroom was covered in rust, the A/C unit was taped up and the advertised grill had no grate and contained a wasp nest.
The location is great. Right on Lake Delton and minutes from Noah's Ark and other Dells attractions is a huge plus. However, the condo needs a lot of TLC to really be ready for the vacation rental market. Very dated. Kitchen needs all new utensils and tools. Bedroom needs new comforter, carpet, decorating, etc. Screen door was broken and sitting in the leaving room when we arrived. Parking pass was missing. It was a lot darker in there than the photos portray. Also, dealing with Vacasa was okay at best. You have to text or call a helpline. Although response was fast, remedy was slow as they need to issue a ticket/dispatch. Its just not the owner service we are used.
The advertising of the property needs to be changed. In future listings any amenities that are not offered should be completely removed. In the listing, internet is was listed and a closer analysis indicates a line drawn through it. The beds (king and sofa pull-out) are not comfortable for any person to sleep on, and need to be changed immediately. Additionally, the refrigerator compressor was loader than ambient noise and I could not sleep with this noise in the background.
There is no on-sight property manager to address concerns that you may have. Vacasa must call the owner of the condo, and if they are able to reach the owner, the owner is the person who addresses any concerns.
After the 3rd call, after being told they would contact the team for a decision on my concern, the receptionist let me know they needed to contact the owner of the condo to address my concerns. I was not told if the owner was local, which I completely understand, but there was no established timeline as to when the issues I expressed would be addressed.
I checked out early and notified Vacasa.
