Relaxing Waterfront Cottage Near St Michaels, Maryland

Eastern Shore two bedroom cottage with dock on a quiet creek of the Chesapeake Bay in Wittman, Maryland. Surrounded by mature majestic shade trees. Beautiful water views on 3 sides and facing west with spectacular sunsets from the comfort of your screened front porch. Quiet street, ideal for relaxation and getting away from it all.

Interior remodeled/upgraded a few years ago. Bright living area incorporates: living room with two sofas and a recliner, TV with basic cable, VCR player and video collection; dining area which opens onto side deck; and a modern kitchen with silestone counter-tops, single oven, fully stocked with dishes and utensils, including toaster, coffee maker, electric kettle. Two modest sized bedrooms. Master with queen bed and sliding double doors opening directly onto front porch. Ensuite bathroom with shower and jetted soaking tub. Second bedroom with queen bed and connected bathroom with shower. Laundry room with washer and dryer. Grill (gas)on deck for use by guests, Private pool open Memorial Day thru Labor Day. Includes a portable Fire pit near private dock that has a bench to watch the wild life and sunsets.

Wireless internet access.

Enjoy crabbing and kayaking (two kayaks with vests provided) from the large dock (bring your boat - draw about 4 feet) or just relax and read or watch the water from the newly screened porch furniture. Self-contained for everything you need for a relaxing time away from home, work and the madding crowd!

Enjoy riding our 2 bikes or take a ride just 7 miles into St Michaels along 322 where you can enjoy coffee at the "Blue Heron Coffee Shop" on Talbot St. as good as you can find anywhere or dine at any one of many fine restaurants after you amble through the shops and explore the harbor. Easy access to St Michaels, Easton, Oxford.

Everything about this stay was amazing! Right from the get go the owner allowed us to get in early so I could take a work call which was amazing. The cottage is exceptionally well done for every comfort. The screened in porch allowed us to enjoy morning coffee before walking to the end of the pier. Did I say the view is amazing and peaceful. The perfect get away from the every day stresses! If we had remembered water shoes we could have even used the kayak to explore. The location was perfect to enjoy the town and their fabulous restaurants. I would love to visit again.

This was the perfect little getaway spot. House was clean and welcoming. Jet tub and shower were wonderful. My sons enjoyed the kayaks and my husband and I had our morning coffee on the dock. It was a short drive to Tilghman Island and St Michael's. Communication with the host was great. We'll definitely be back!

This is my second time staying here, I love this place. We arrived a little early and met Lacy and she was just the sweetest lady. Only problem we had was that the pool was dirty so we could not use it, but not a big ordeal. We will be back every year, maybe twice. It had everything you need m, peaceful and quiet and all of the neighbors were very friendly. We really enjoyed such a relaxing, cozy place to vacation.

loved the views, the thoughtful way the cottage has been updated, the screened porch. All in all, a very nice stay.

This was a winter getaway to a very comfortable house with all the amenities on a quiet tributary of the Chesapeake. A rare vacation for and just what we wanted. Conveniently located near St Michael’s and Easton. Communication was excellent and everything was just as described. Would go back if we get the opportunity.
