We had a wonderful time at the cabin. Our family spent a lot of time down on the dock fishing and spending time on our paddleboat. The kids loved the choices of places to sleep. They had everything we could possibly want. So convenient and it was beautiful inside. The only con was that the upstairs was warm, even with the air on. We will definitely stay there again.
This house was great!! Itâs across from a pretty lake, it had a great cottage feel, and the outside was really charming. We brought our 2 dogs so we loved having a fenced in yard and a gate at the driveway. It wasnât super secure but we had bigger dogs that wouldnât fit thru an opening. That was a huge plus for us.
We went in winter to do a little ice fishing on the lake and that was great. There was access to the ice right down the road. We didnât catch many fish but it was still so fun.
A few things to mention-
The kitchen was small and could use some more pans, pots and utensils for cooking. Nice size fridge though.
When we booked, we had the potential to have 10-12 people. Luckily for us, a few dropped out because they wouldnât have had a bed to sleep in. There is a main bedroom on the 1st floor, then by the stairway to go upstairs, thereâs a bed without a room; itâs a common area right under the stairs.
Then upstairs, on the landing and in the hallway, there was 2 more beds in the common area.
There were 2 true bedrooms upstairs. The bedroom at the front of house has a door with a sunroom that has two sets of bunk beds. Itâs a cool set up, but there is NO WAY anyone could sleep in there if itâs cool. Thereâs no heat in there.
The mattresses could use an update, we really sunk into the middle.
We would stay there again, we really enjoyed the house. But next time, maybe in summer so we can enjoy being outside and use the sunroom with the bunkbeds.
We chose this property as it would be large enough for us & our children to be at for my grandsons 18th birthday (they live in the area) . Even though some of the family couldn't make it, we had plenty of room for all! This house is so roomy & comfortable for a large family. Super clean and updated. The littles very much enjoyed the bunk room!
Definitely a place we'll revisit.
The boat lift was broken and just in the way to park boat and jet ski. The grass hasnât been cut and was long. There is a bee hive on the trailer which the kids almost got stung by the swarm of bees.
With 2 dogs, the fenced in yard was great and the gate kept out pesky geese. There was plenty of room and the kitchen was pretty well stocked. We did rent a pontoon, thinking we could secure it to the dock, but there was a boat lift that was not shown on the listing when we booked. Thankfully, Pine Arbor Resort (Dave was very helpful) allowed us to dock there. Nice comfy spot.
