Room was very clean and well presented .
But little cold as central heating had not been turned on.
Although breakfast was not included in the price there was supposed to be breakfast available. When we arrived we were told that the had no chef . So we had to find a a cafe which luckily on Saturday was close buy and very good . But the cafe was shut on Sunday . I would of liked to be told in advance if arrival about no breakfast being available
The room was situated within a pub, that sadly had no restaurant available during our stay. The room was clean and tidy, although a little small and the ensuite was tiny, although clean and usable. Room had TV, hairdryer, with tea and coffee making facilities.
Really welcoming owner, happy to help. Lovely room which was just what I needed. Good facilities in the room including generous tea and coffee supplies! Would stay again if I was in the area.
it has a small car park shared with its Indian Restaurant neighbour but there was plenty of street parking options close by. Sarah provided a warm welcome on arrival.
Despite serving at the bar and checking guests in, the service and attention to detail was spot on. No trouble parking, check in simple and our room was outstanding. The only downside was that there was no chef so no breakfast but that wouldnât stop us from going back again.
There was no food available which was a disappointment and disadvantage as we were walking the south downs trail, however the room was clean and comfortable and had provisions for making tea and coffee
When checking in I was asked for my payment card details even though my stay was prepaid. When asked why, reply was âItâs just policy.â
I donât like giving my card details without a good reason. A bit stand-offish. Was left wondering what they might charge me for without my consent. Room was in good condition, although beware if youâre tall because door frames are low and I banged my head several times on them. Shared bathroom and toilet in good condition. Clean enough. Small car park.
The staff were friendly and very hospitable but we stayed there with two children, 6 and 1, and there was live music on until 11pm. The music was so loud and people were in the pub garden being loud and smoking. This meant (on the hottest day of the year) we either had the windows closed and it was too hot and you could still hear people
And music, or you and the windows open and it was really loud and smoke came in from people smoking in the garden. Our one year old could not sleep until the pub had closed and everyone had left which was gone 11pm. Our 6 years old went and joined the live music as it was pointless trying to put her to bed. Itâs not a place that we would return to with our without children for that reason.
